| Maynooth losing to Allenwood by 9 at home is an interesting one. Anyone at it?
Having seen all the division 2 teams I thought Maynooth were a level above the rest.

ballyteague and ballykelly d3 next year Pretty sure it's Nurney v Suncroft in the league final. It seems Kilcullen have failed with their appeal to the Leinster Council and will be docked 3 points. Very harsh on them in my opinion.

| Its not right when appeal committees decide who goes up. From talking to a Kilcullen man they feel they were helping Rehban as a walkover wud have taken score difference out of the equation. He said Rehban manager even attended appeal and said this. They finished 2nd and should go up very harsh if they don't. | |

| This is what I can't get my head around. Why are Kilcullen the only party to be punished out of this? Why aren't Rheban in trouble and what recourse will the referee who actually submitted the score face?
Ironically, it made no difference in the end. The 2 points alone would have sufficed.

The problem i think was that they tried to use this game as part of one of their players suspension or something like that. It wasn't just because of the walkover anyway that they were docked it also had to do with a suspended player.

I know a lad involved from Kilcullen. According to him, Rheban put in a score and not Kilcullen. Score didn't matter as it was always head to head. They played Rheban in championship and league and beat them by a bigger score. They didn't count the game for a suspension as they weren't hit with points deduction till well after the game. Seems like there been harshly treated.

We certainly do but we're not allowed talk about it on here. If I was being cynical, I'd say the referee was complicit or else he'd miss out on his match fee. Everyone's a winner, or so they thought.

| Taibi u seem to hav an issue with the ref because it all u mentioned in ur posts from what I was told the ref was told by both teams that they had agreed with the cb that the c-ship game they played was also for the pints and game wasnt being played and same score stood. And this info came from cb official whos team involved | |

| Same score as championship wasn't used so that can't be true. If this was true, surely ref would have checked with county board. Kilcullen were togged out n the field and Rheban had players on the field. Why would 2 teams turn up, tog out and then say they agreed they played for points and then a different score goes in. Someone is not telling the truth here. | |

No issue with him personally, I actually think he's a decent referee, but he seems to have gotten off lightly here. The rest of your post doesn't make sense for three reasons. If there was an agreement with the CB, why are Kilcullen now facing a points deduction? As far as I know, both teams and the referee actually turned up for the game only to find Rheban couldn't make 15. And why was there two different scorelines submitted if it was agreed the championship game would double up with the league fixture?

| He is a good referee. One of the better ones but the whole story doesn't make sense. Sounds very fishy. Feel story for Kilcullen. They don't know if there going up or not. They finished 2nd on merit unless someone can tell me different. | |
