| I know the ref personal and spoke to him about the game. He lead to believe game was played at championship for pints. When he asked why both teams had players there he told match off as mix up with players. So after bn told both team spoke to country board and result stood then he submitted score of championship he was given. Apparently they had agreed to do this for championship and league but wasnt cleared by county board | |

| Bk 1. That doesn't make sense. Both clubs turned up for a game and togged out and were on the fied by mistake as neither knew there wasn't a game, both managers there, Kilcullen collecting at the gate, ......... Get a life bk 1 if you believe that | |

| I rang the guy i know in Kilcullen and he said that what your been told Bk 1 is totally incorrect. He wouldn't say much more as it's a hot topic and in the appeal process. He did say that Kilcullen wanted to play the game and had a full squad available. Team was picked and at no stage was the championship match agreed as a double up for the league game. Rheban couldn't field a team. Kilcullen should have got a walkover. Kilcullen lost points and were deducted 1 point because they didn't play the game even do Rheban had no team. He's adament that Kilcullen didn't do anything wrong and even Rheban have confirmed this. The team should have been celebrating last Sunday evening after finishing 2nd but obviously can't. I rang a guy from Rheban and he confirms what he said was true without giving any more facts. | |

| Why on the Day were Kilcullen not given the walkover, if Rheban couldnt field a Team ?. surely thats what should have happened, and then there would have been no issue.. Ref in question informs the CB that no Match took place for the above reason, and Kilcullen get the Points. | |

| AFAIK when Rheban knew they wouldn't have a full team they were in line for a fine and deduction. As with all things Irish a solution was devolved. Kilcullen then got bitten in the arse for helping out Rheban. I doubt its the first time its been done but fairly sure no one will ever do it again. I wonder could this match be replayed with no precedence for future (to stop teams not playing when Johnny is on holidays). This way all points in division are played for and if Kilcullen win their up | |

Its a Fraud, by the clubs & the ref. I place most blame on the ref for knowingly participating in the fraud............. He should grow a back-bone & tell the 2 clubs to get stuffed with their scam

| Agree with ur comment onnthe ref as he is the adjudicator. How did the 2 clubs scam it. By all accounts Kilcullen took no part in it. | |

| Does anybody know what the story is with Monasterevan in the Reserve A championship? It looks like they didn't fulfill either of their fixtures.
Will there be walkovers given to Moorefield and St Laurence's?

I don't think so, teams probably waiting to see how Kildare do at the weekend. If they were to lose then teams would have their county players back for the finals, possibly the following weekend. I suppose Athy and Celbridge would like to use the league final to get one game under their belts with their county players available before the championships re-commences.

Of course they did.. Did they object to the Ref sending in the score ? Score difference made no difference so they didn't. They didn't use the game as part of a players suspension as no game was played. They weren't made aware of the issue till after the player served his suspension so they weren't trying to have that game included.

| Of course they were aware. Kilcullen's Twitter page tweeted that the game was called off but quickly deleted it. | |

| They very obviously agreed to the decision for the Ref to send in a score.. or what, did the Ref just pluck One out of the air ?.. Fair enough, they may have being doing it as a favour to Rheban, but to say they knew nothing about it is naive to say the least.. | |

They knew about the score but took no part in it. Rheban have openly admitted they convinced ref to put in score. Kilcullen were told it wud be cleared/checked by CCC. They took there word in good faith and are paying for it big time now.

| Nice of the county board to fix the SFL Div 1 final for 5.00 p.m. next Saturday, right in the middle of the 2 All Ireland Football Q/Finals. | |

| The fixture planning in this county beggars belief. John McMahon and his band of clowns constantly bleat about a lack of funds from club fixtures and they go and fix the Division 1 league final at the same time as an All-Ireland quarter final. There's no doubt this will affect the attendance. The Division 2 final's slot is just as baffling.

They have Newbridge full of games this weekend. 1 game Friday, 1 game Saturday and 4 games Sunday. I can only assume they wouldn't put league finals At another venue. Surprised to see all junior championship games in Newbridge this weekend.
