| Seamus Murphy why didn't they fix the Monasterevin v Ellistown game in Ballykelly. Only a short distance for both clubs | |

| I'm pretty sure they have a raffle to decide grounds for championship games. Towers 5 minutes from Nurney but a good 30 minutes from Kill, maybe even more with the roadworks. Crazy.
Big win For Clogherinkoe last night. Hard to look beyond them and Kevin's for the IFC.

| Jack Robinson scored 1-7. Kilcock v Allenwood could be a cracker. | |

| Allenwood could be the first team to go from senior to junior in 1year ..I have a friend that lives out that neck of the woods. He says they Chickens are coming home to roost..Over the years the have robbed players from all the Clubs out there, and from there underage and all that has stopped now.Thev are left with the own players now, who are not good enough. | |

| Hard to see how alenwood are going so bad. I heard they played john byrne in the full forward line last week so that might be an indication of how tactically astute the manager is | |

| Yep, the senior championship needs to be looked at again of the 8 games played in round 2, I think only 3 were decided by less than 5 points and one of those was with an OG in injury time but the game itself was never competitive. A senior championship of 12 teams would be enough. Also and I have said this from the beginning the idea of 3 teams coming out of the group is ridiculous. In Group D Eadestown and Confey have a combined scores difference of -78, yet one of them will make the knockout stages of the championship. | |

100% correct topcat. It is a farce of a format. I said it here many times before but we had the best championship format in the country with our previous model but unfortunately the bean counters got their way

| 14 teams in the Senior and Intermediate and 13 in the Junior would balance it out. | |

| That would balance it in terms of numbers SM but you would still see plenty of bad beatings in the senior championship with 14 teams in it in my opinion. 10 or a max of 12 would give a more even championship with more competitive games. With the current structure there will have been 32 games played in both the senior and intermediate championship to eliminate only 4 teams from each competition. | |

| Kill v Nurney surely Kilcullen or Moorefield would have been fair halfway venue. | |

Almost right. 2nd team plays a 3rd placed team from another group. I imagine there'll be a draw made for this.

Cheers Taibi, so it means a draw and a win for a third placed team could have you in a quarter final after five games...... Not bad odds.

| Hard to believe that the loser of Sarsfields/Celbridge will be in the same position as winner of Confey/Eadestown given the results of the games between them! | |

| More games more money a simple explanation for the new format I did prefer the format from last year but you can understand where the county board are coming from to generate more money but its a bit all over the place its like they are making it up as they go along. | |
