| Totally coming from a supporter's angle here but for the second weekend in a row we are fixed to play at Saturday lunchtime. WTF? I missed my club playing in a league final last Saturday and will miss a championship game this weekend. Mad | |

| Any Teams with Defence Forces members will have to play Championship without them, as they will be on Pope security duty that weekend. | |

| Certainly will struggle to get out of that group now.
Does anyone want to go ahead and predict the winner of each group for Senior and intermediate?
I'll give my two pence. Intermediate Group A Ballyteague St Kevins- Winner Straffan Rathangan
Group B Sallins Ellistown Monasterevin TMH- Winner
Group C Allenwoord Clogerinkoe- Winner Kilcock Suncroft
Group D Ballymore Nurney- Winner Kill Kilcullen
Senior
Group A Naas- Winner St Laurences Maynooth Castledermot
Group B Athy-Winner Leixlip Towers Carbury
Group C Moorefield- Winner JTB Clane Raheens
Group D Sarsfields- Winner Confey Celbridge Eadestown

| Couldn't argue with any of that oc.. although no doubts they'll be a few close encounters and the odd surprise.
I'm going with Milltown, Clogherinkoe and Athy for outright Glory.. (that's them doomed now).

| Big win for Larries tonight, didn’t see that coming. Pudge Fogarty seemingly put on an exhibition. Looks like that group will be a shootout between them andNaas for top spot in that group. | |

| Big wins for Towers and Larries tonight.
We struggled to get a 2nd Team out for the reserve championship.. but the Sash 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Teams made the semis in A, B and D grades of the reserve Championship. It's a numbers game I suppose.

| Looking at the new championship format, I am right in thinking that you could actually lose your first 3 games and still win the championship ?????? | |

| Yep a team could draw one of their first 4 games, providing the draw was a group game and still get through on score diff and win the championship. The top 3 teams getting out of the group is a bit ridiculous in my opinion but Sash could take advantage of that format so I better not criticise it too soon!! | |

| Yes, some very one sided games in the senior championship, I think only one game was decided by less than 5 points (Naas v Castledermot) hopefully the games in rounds 2 and 3 will be more competitive. Fact that 3 of the 4 teams get through means once a team falls behind early by 5-6 points the incentive to comeback and make a game of it isn’t great as the team still has the next 2 weeks to get a win. | |

| Does anyone know, if teams finish equal on points for the Junior Championship group stages, is it head to head or score difference that decides. | |

| I think it follows same as league, head to head first if game was a draw, score diff if still level, then total scored. | |

| Clane were competitive for about 20 mins. JTB scored two goals before the break though and Clane just fell asunder. They have no answer to D Flynn (and S Hurley) at full forward. JTB had a man sent off early in second half but still controlled the game, so much so that they could afford to take off the spine of the team (Centre back, two midfielders, Centre forward and Full forward) and it not have any impact | |

| Apart from Niall Kelly the most notable player was David Hyland who scored 1-3. He could offer so much more to the county team if he was moved out of full back role which he clearly doesn't do very well. O'Grady is much better at full back in my opinion and should be left there. | |

| Ballymore defeated by Kill last night. They are going to struggle to make it out of the group with 2 defeats. Whoever wins tonight will be in pole position to top the group Nurney or Kilcullen. Good result for Kill. Miltown defeated Caragh easily...on track to make it to knock out stages of the championship | |

| Super win for Castledermot today against Larries. Didnt see that coming really. Another 1-9 for Fogarty but only 1-2 from play. He was reasonably well shackled. Probably doesnt have the pace for inter-county if I’m honest. Athy got a real test from Towers. Lucky enough to come through it by two points. | |

| All quiet here, so I'll stir it up.. I've being asking why Towers isn't used more often as a venue for championship matches, and our CB go and fix a match next week between Nurney and Kill.. grand. While the Ellistown v Monasterevin match is fixed for Hawkfield pitch 2 (which is in shite from every team playing on , and warming up on, for pitch One) . Beggars. | |
