There is a chance that the Div 2 and 4 league finals may be on Saturday, with the hurling and football final as a double header on the Sunday, its all depends on how and when Div 3 in the football is sorted.

Leixlip had a good win againest JTB. Carbury ran Moore’s close. Raheens good start againest tricky opposition in Clogherinkoe. Monasterevan opened up with a good win over Milltown away. Surprise of the weekend Ardlough beating Ballykelly

Was at the Ardclough v BallyKelly game. Ardclough should have won by 10pts+. I expect Ardclough to go well in Div 4. Got some former players to transfer back in , new manager and things are looking brighter.

Have to said I thought the same myself, does the county board not have a 2019 calendar in their office.  Not only for all the players and officials involved but this will surely affect attendance.

It makes me laugh that we can call off all games when the Pope is visiting and we can't work around our Mothers Day events. gatherings etc.

Is there something on on Saturday that I am not aware of that is preventing the games from going ahead tomorrow rather than Sunday?

There is a round of the Senior Hurling League on Saturday which would effect some teams. I know of a couple of games that have moved to try and avoid Sunday.

Towers 3 14 Celbridge 2 13

Story of the game was that Towers were first to a lot more balls than Celbridge. Also they were very open at the back. A lot of ball was pumped down to Brophy, which soon became predictable.

While I'm not sure if James Murray has left the Kildare panel or not, he was superb yesterday in Moorefields win over Sarsfields.

James has been one of the best performers in the club championship in Kildare for the last 3 years even in the final Moorefield lost to Sarsfields he had an outstanding year that year. He has yet to deliver that level of performance in a Kildare jersey. That could just as easily be down to management as the player himself. By that I mean maybe Ross is giving him a role that suits his particular skill set and Cian hasn’t been able to do that.

Question for anyone at Club Games at the weekend - would you say that any of the County Players were head and shoulders above others on the pitch?
Or any exceptional performances?

Mick Murphy we can ask that question of anyone attending games for the past few years...
I'd give Murray every chance as he only came in late in his first year and I fully believe he can make the step up.

What date are the games?

No.. and didn't see much difference in their fitness levels either, which one would think would be obvious.

Can anyone tell me if the fixtures for Easter Weekend have been confirmed? On the provisional fixtures it has Friday 19/04- Sunday 21/04. As if you wouldn't want to be organizing anything for easter Sunday or anything!!

I see that Kildare are playing Roscommon on Tuesday 16th April 2019, I thought that April for 'club month'.

This might also answer why the Easter Weekend fixtures are not decided yet.

County Board should be more inclined to look after club players and let them know what dates games are, especially on Easter Weekend. They would much rather worry about a faltering senior panel with all the problems going on at the minute!

Per the below, the Div 1 games have been fixed for Easter Sunday at midday

http://kildaregaa.ie/fixtures-results/?owner=2162&countyBoardID=14&compID=114549&leagueTable=y

I doubt many will be pleased with that, it is better than Easter Monday but surely the Saturday works best for the majority of players and supporters.

And you still have idiots moaning on Twitter that SFL games weren't moved to Sunday to appease a bunch of schoolkids playing at the same time in a final of some sort. Half of them probably Dubs anyway. Rolling Eyes

In fairness, Naas game has been moved to Friday night. Other clubs with players involved with Naas CBS, I doubt many clubs would have an issue accommodating them in that case.
