Decent performance last night. Well done to all. Robinson and Nash were the standouts for me but most of the forwards did well. We seem to have an abundance of good forwards in that squad.
We look to be a little weaker at the other end though and it's a little worrying that we let Longford back into it so easily midway through the first half. I suppose losing the entire backline from last year doesn't help. Anyone know why the likes of Nathan Sherry (TMH), Willie Burke (TMH), Eoin McMonagle (Clogherinkoe), Tom Barron (St. Kevins), Cian Sharkey (Sallins) or Kevin Corrigan (Kill) are not available. Also, Mark Sherry (TMH) and Travers (Rathcoffey) would be good options to have for midfield.
Meath had a good team last year and should be a step up from what we faced last night. But best of luck to everyone involved and hopefully we can retain the title in a fortnight's time.
TMH are a senior club
Yeah but they didn't play Senior Championship last year, which appears to the rule. The same applied to the Raheens players who were allowed play last year.

Players who played well the other night SHOULD be playing well. Remember this standard is their standard. And they are all good strong players especially the lads who have tasted senior. Meath will be a bigger test. On paper we seem to have some forward. Our backs have to improve.

Going to this. Hate that I'm adding to Leinster final crowd but seeing Nash & Robinson in same forward line to tempting to resist... I actually think they're better than any of Meath's forwards in senior final so should be interesting.
JD a delicious subplot as well.
Could be vulnerable defensively but Grehan & Bambrick a mighty midfield. It really is an unusually strong junior team so hopefully they click and do the business.

They performed well. The backs were always under pressure and were always my worry. Forwards were not bad and looked dangerous all the time.
It was a good fast game and Meath maybe were just the better team. But we won the last kickout and lost it after a couple of plays. That summed us up. Did a lot well but when it came to the important moments we lacked.
