We need to trust in youth and give them a decent run in early season. Some of our established players are not going to get any better at this stage. There is plenty of talented players in Kildare, this is their chance to show what they can do. Actually looking forward to the new year now. It's about how lads react when they're NOT playing though.

| Can't all play all the time but you have to have a reasonable expectation of getting some game time. That wasn't the case under previous managers. | |

| Liked Davy Burke interview on KFM after Saturday he very enthusiastic which you can see coming through in his teams..... Also Ross Glavin who basically said that although they may not be the most talented bunch of players in Moorefield there is no other bunch of lads he would want with him as they know how to get over the line and win games when it counts...…… that has been missing in Kildare recently | |

| Good news - Daniel Flynn is set to be back next year. From Hoganstand:
There is good and bad news on the player availability front for new Kildare manager Jack O’Connor.
The Irish Independent is reporting that 2018 All-Star nominee Daniel Flynn is set to return to the county jersey after taking a year out but Ben McCormack won’t be making his services available as he is intends to travel to Australia.
Sarsfields clubman McCormack - who is currently preparing for Sunday week’s Kildare SFC final showdown with holders Moorefield - was one of the Lilywhites’ star performers in attack this year.

| Good news indeed but assuming the story is accurate, how annoying is it that for the third year running, we won’t be able to play them both at the same time. | |

| Flamingo - not sure will also be interesting to see does anyone get the call not to come back! if JOC has decided to rebuild could be a few 'retirements' | |

I think anyone who was there last year and ' gave up their time ' to be there ( unlike many others ) should at least be called back in the first instance and then if they 'make it' they 'make it' and if not at least they got their chance under the new management.

| If it trials then if a club is asked to send in who they think might be worth a go you never know you might get 2 or 3 lads that Jack o Connor would be looking for its not all who stands out other players could do a job that he is looking for. | |
