Glad to finally see the Ladies Association recognising the merit of the player & not some lazy throw-away nomination which they have been so guilty of in the past. There are other players in the county, apart from the top 1 or 2 well-known...

Ais may have great ancestry in carbury but she has found her true home in Johnstownbridge.

Great news for Ash, having played with and against here I know how good she can be. I actually believe she could be even better than her recent showings given some proper direction and coaching. Bizare selection in the half back line, given that Ash has played at midfield for most the year. That said, Brianne got an All-Star a couple of years ago as a half forward, she'd played midfield all year. Ash played all her football up to U/16 for Carbury. But a few events and some undesirables saw her move to Balyna 'on loan' a few years back and shes never looked back since.
The wonderful world of ladies football.

Originating from and possibly still living in Carbury "Parish" does not necessarily mean you are from Carbury. As quite a number of the current Johnstownbridge and Balyna teams will attest to. (it's a sore point round our parts). That wasn't what I was referring to though Aisling's great uncle is none other than Dermot Bourke (after whom the current senior championship cup is named)
