| Ok been only afforded an hour long slot doesn't help, but just wondering going by last nights show are they going to concentrate and only show games from Division 1?. Crammed in 3 games from League 1 and then just about had time to run through the results from the other divisions, not even showing a smidgen of action from any of the other games. I know its the first week of the league and division one was always going to be to the fore, but there are any amount of teams in division 2 who will have pretentions to the All Ireland crown this season, and of course the teams in the two lower tiers are entitled to a look in too!. Throw in an egg shaped ball and you'd be guaranteed at least a two hour slot.
TG4 might come to the rescue?, I see they have a highlights show at 8.30 tonight not sure what thats going to consist of ?.
Anyway I won't fully condemn RTE just yet until Sunday week to see if the format remains the same ie concentrating entirely on the teams in Division 1, considering the amount of teams in all four divisions and don't forget the Hurling aswell, the hour long slot does seem a bit of a joke.

| Mildly amused by Marty & Kevin's piece of the wonderful points kicked from distance in the Armagh v Dublin game. I wonder what happened to the hot zone theory ?? | |

| TG4 are supposed to be showing the highlights of the Kildare match tonight for anyone that didn't make it up yesterday. | |

| Its probably fair to assume that the focus will be on division one as its the top tier but I agree there are some serious contenders fro Sam in division 2 that should warrant coverage but as you say yourself TG4 looks like they will pick up extra coverage.
Very annoying that no camera picked up the Kerry/Cork sendings off. Wouldnt happen in any other major sport to have a big incident missed by cameras. Dont want to hear about cutbacks.

Agree with your point about the sendings off in the Cork v Kerry game. How often has that bulldog of a Noel O'Leary been sent off ? If it was Ralph Lauren Galvin , it would be all over the place.

| Bit of a joke of a programme. Apart from the highlights of the Monaghan-Galway game the other games they covered were all live on tv over the weekend (granted some on subscription channels) that alot of people had already seen. And then to have to listen McStay and Tommy Lyons put the tin hat on it. It seemed a half hearted effort to stem the criticism over RTE's lack of GAA coverage over the winter months

| Have to agree with all above , i was disappointed not to have seen highlights of games in division 2-4 , at least the best scores of the day from each game , I thought kildare game was part of the programme as i have sky and checked the programme synopsis and it gave five games anyone else notice this , thank God for TG4 ,
MON V GAL MAY V DWN ARH V DUB KER V COR KIL V ANM
As for highlight the scores of the arm /dub game , they were some good scores and average score you expect your team to be scoring , i thought the monaghan v galway or cork v kerry game had better scores from play

| All of the above plus Marty Morrissey is far too ugly for TV. | |

| It made for painful watching. Marty looks like a Beverley Hills woman after bad plastic surgery and the other two are goons. I was actually laughing at what McStay was saying, he just states the obvious, has nothing insightful to say. We have the best soccer and rugby pundits around but yet can't get a half decent GAA panel together. Any suggestions - maybe Dara O'Se. | |

| did anyone see the highlights show on tg4 compared to rte.... tg4 had the kildare match and 4 others in an hour. Mainly because they didnt fill it up with nonsense from mcstay and lyons..... but one good thing is we are back receiving our weekly dose from rte of MM | |
