| Joe may well have got the invite because of the work he and his family did helping the victims in Omagh the day of the terrible bombing. They were on their way to a game and arrived just in time to help

They were in Omagh and the mother threw all the kids into a restaurant in the town and used the mini bus as a makeshift ambulance. Supposedly he grew up in England and was there till he was 15.

| Im surprised there hasnt been more discussion on this. For what its worth I thought Christy Cooney did himself and the organisation proud and the whole event was very tastefully and respectfully done and it was a fine gesture by her good self to agree to the Croke Park visit. Only downside was seeing all the old fogies from all the councils and past presidents with their partners lined up to meet the queen. Would have liked to see a lot more kids and players get that opportunity. | |

| I think it's probably a positive there hasn't been so much discussion on this... would imply that people don't have a problem with it, which is progressive and very un-GAA... I thought it was done well too | |

Totally agree with you, there at least should have been 1 player from every county, they had just 4 players along with aload of old farts that never kicked or puced a ball in their lives, typical GAA.
