| Flynn and Dowling are out. Sweeney took a knock at training this evening. Team looks like it's going to be the same that started against Wicklow.
Graham Geraghty has not been named in the starting side following his recent return to the panel, but Seamus McEnaney has still named a potent full-forward line of Stephen Bray, Joe Sheridan and Cian Ward.
Centre-back Bryan Menton and wing-back Ciaran Lenehan are two newcomers to McEnaney's championship side.
The full team is:
1 Brendan Murphy Trim 2 Gary O'Brien Navan O'Mahony's 3 Kevin Reilly Navan O'Mahony's 4 Shane McAnarney Clann na nGael 5 Seamus Kenny (Capt) Simonstown Gaels 6 Bryan Menton Donaghmore/Ashbourne 7 Ciaran Lenehan Skryne 8 Nigel Crawford St.Peter's Dunboyne 9 Brian Meade Rathkenny 10 Jamie Queeney Na Fianna 11 Shane O'Rourke Simonstown Gaels 12 Graham Reilly St.Colmcille's 13 Stephen Bray Navan O'Mahony's 14 Joe Sheridan Seneschalstown 15 Cian Ward Wolfe Tones

Am I the only one who preferred when there was an individual thread for each match? The stickies are pretty long and rambling. We could probably unstick (if that's the right word) the O'Byrne Cup and League threads at this stage too?

| Personally i perfer a thread for each match.. Other threads always seem to end up going off the point..
ManBearPig why aren't Jimmers and Callaghan playing?. Flynn out too. Be really interesting to see what team he goes with now.
Conway to get a shot now?

| I think as usual we won't know the team until just before throw in. Whatever team we start with we will be too strong for meath, they are just too slow to live with Kildares pace and it would be great to see Conway back at some stage in the game. Kildare by at least five points. | |

| i rather have a separate thread for each match - makes it so more focused.
I am quietly confident of beating Meath again - looking forward to the game. I think we will win by 4-5 points

Whatever team we start with we will be too strong for meath, they are just too slow to live with Kildares pace and it would be great to see Conway back at some stage in the game. Kildare by at least five points. Agree fully with this, Meath if anything have taken a step backwards from where they were last year. A dangerous half forward line and two decent midfielders, but after that there's not much to worry about. Foley can certainly do a job keeping Sheridan quiet, Bray is very hot and cold and Ward will only get scores if we give away frees. I'd nearly be more worried about the likes of Farrell, Gilsenan and Paddy O'Rourke coming off the bench to add some pace in the second half. Harrington is a big loss to them in the full back line and they're giving Championship debuts to two lads in the half back line, could be a rough first day at the office for Menton and Lenehan if they have to pick up any two of Kavanagh, Leper, O'Neill or Roli. Even without Flynn we should be more than capable of holding our own in midfield. We'll see our half forward line drop pack, leaving Smith and O'Connor inside, with any two of Roli, O'Flaherty and Kavanagh behing them (depends on who starts where of course, wouldn't make too many changes from the last day). Overall we should be good enough to win this one by at least four or five points, and hopefully be able to reintroduce Conway to Championship action late on in the second half.

| There are stickies for a reason.
All Kildare Championship talk goes into that particular thread.
Why?
Because it's much easier to follow then. It worked well for the League.
This thread is locked, continue the discussion in the Championship thread.
