| 100% agree i know louth would love to play in croke park the fact is the would probably have a better chance if it was played in portlaoise 6 years since the dubs played a championship match outside of their home thats some advantage! |

| boo hoo, if you want to be the best you have to beat the best...more than likely in their own back yard.
Louth have performed admirably in Croker over the past few years, i can guarantee you ask any Louth player where they would rather play on sunday, some shithole in Leinster or Croke Park and they would tell you it would be HQ all the way.
as for refereeing decisions, sure we couldnt beat them TWICE with 14 men. dont start with that bullshit.

Kill Bill in all fairness look at the facts. No major decisions went against us in the 09 Leinster final. Last year one very bad decision went against us in the last minute, true. But the fact is we left ourselves with too much to do in that game. We were four points down with a couple of minutes to play and were outplayed in the first half. That is not a comfortable fact but it's true. It was an awful decision by Reilly to give Brogan the free but it's time to move on and stop whinging about it. I don't buy any conspiracy theories, I think the ref just messed up and it was hard to take at the time but it happens. The fact is that while we played well in patches of those two games, we weren't quite as good as Dublin. If we want to put that straight the way to do it is to beat Meath and then produce our best stuff in the 70 minutes of the Leinster final and give the Dubs a sound beating, not by still going on about a free given against us almost a year ago.

| Jaysus I don't care how bad Louth are the Dubs are very impressive today. No one in Leinster will come within an asses roar of them on that form. | |

| the dubs very impressive today alright they cruised the whole way through wexford or longford will have to seriously improve on todays performance if they are to put up any sort of a challenge to the dubs. up north down beat fermanagh who are fairly poor after watching the match on bcc there i would have my reservations about cannavan being a good manager, a good few players for fermangh were fairly unfit and out of breath a good bit and there tackling at times was useless and no sense of how to tackle properly | |

| Football gone very sterile, something radical needs to happen to balance the equation.
Also Kildare v Offaly €25 for stand tickets like wtf would people bother??

| Sorry but do I really want to pay €15 to watch Galway trounce Offaly in hurling followed by what should be Kildare trouncing Offaly in football. And lets make no mistake about it we should be trouncing Offaly.
Football & Hurling up to mid July is dead and the GAA have to do something about that. The bad teams in both codes are getting worse and the divide is getting greater.

| Footballing wise there was little or no difference in Dublin and Louth. Louth had some good footballers, just as good as dublin in certain area's.
The real difference was the speed and power in which Dublin possessed over Louth. This comes down to the preparation. Louth would not have the facilities nor the money that Dublin would have to compete at that level. Dublin's preparation would have been that of a professional soccer/aussie rules player.
Dublin indeed looked formidable. Their speed, fitness, work rate and strength in the tackle was awesome. You need to match them in this area then it will come down to football but at the moment most teams will lack that.
Dublin have made huge strides since the League in terms of fitness. I'm very interested to see what Kildare have done over the last 5/6 weeks when they meet offaly. |

| Agree with you there Fionn, unless you can match their fitness and conditioning levels you are really going to struggle to get your hands on the ball and to hold onto it in the tackle. Most people would remember the great Kerry team of the 70's and 80's as being very skilfull but their fitness levels were so far ahead of everyone else that no team could lay a finger on them during games until Heffo copied thier training methods. If you look back at the semifinals of that period you will see some hammering that these 2 teams dished out to the Ulster and Connacht champions. It looks like most counties are at least as far off the top teams now as they were in the past. | |

| The GAA are totally out of touch with reality in regards to people's circumstances as reflected by poor attendance at the Dublin Louth game and indeed the Tip Limerick game last week. Same goes locally €8 for junior championship games is too much for some people living day to day, for anyone working these prices are affordable but for any poor sod in financial trouble it rules out being able to attend games especially bringing family, not forgetting the cost doesn't stop at ticket prices. Makes more sense to get large attendance at €15 stand ticket and €10 Terrance ticket. They also have to contend with competition from Euro games. I will go to games even it cost much more but there are plenty who could take it or leave it and at these prices I am sure they will be leaving it. | |

| Same as above, I'll go to the Offaly game purely because its not on telly but the others I will go to the pub to watch it, less hassle paying for trains, food and other bits as well! You'd get 6 pints for €25 and still have change!
Also €8 for local championships is crazy, a fiver is plenty. I don't know what planet these flutes in suits are living on!

| It's all about the pints. Sure while we're at it why would you go to local championship €8 would get you 2 pints.
When i think of it why do we even play football. A pair of boots costs €60-€70. Sure that would get you completely shit faced and you might get to feed the pony at the end of the night as a sweetener. |

| The GAA are not stupid. They sit back and look at the competition when they are pricing these things.
It was €30 entry level in to the Ireland v Bosnia game last week in the Aviva. It was 90 minutes of dribble.
A typical ticket to a leinster rugby match is €20/€25 upwards depending on where you are sitting.
2 GAA championship games, 1 Hurling, 1 Football. 2 hours and 10 minutes of Gaelic games, for €15 standing and €25 for a seat. I really don't see the problem with it.
Its the same every year, lads giving out about ticket prices. Sicken your stomach. |

| The season ticket is a great recent initiative and is excellent value. I suppose it doesn't suit some people who may not be able to travel to league games for various reasons but for anyone who goes to every inter county match it's a must have. | |
