| Anyone intersted in this, since golf is my preferred game these days I love watching the open on the BBC. There is something special listening to Peter Allis describe what you are watching.
Don't think tiger is going to do much, he is not right in the head at the moment although teh wide open spaces of the old course suits him to a tee. The Irish challenge will have a bit more to it this year with Harrington, McDowell, McIlroy, and now Clarke all showing signs of form.
If I was to pick a winner I would think it would be between the likes of Mickleson, Westwood, Harrington and an outside bet like Henrik Stenson, Jim Furyk or Ricky Barnes who hits the ball phenomenal distances
Practice was cancelled today because of high winds so if this continues it will be a bloodbath and a score of around +1 could win it.
If the wind fails to materialise then you are looking at -10. Big hitters have a big advantage on the course unlike pebble beach for the US Open.

| Would love to see Westwood do it. He's long overdue a major but that injury may hamper him. Tiger has too much pressure on him these days I think. Harry is just not on form anymore.
Think it could be an outsider this year. | |

| Clarke is hitting good form at the right time. Lefty has a terrible record in Opens. Harrington will be top 10 I'm certain. And Ernie Els has been brilliant this year. And lest people forget, Tiger has been top five in both majors so far. | |

| luke donald for me e/w at 40/1 not bad bet but poulter playing well too the only thing is they wouldn`t be the biggest hitters but if the wind is strong control will be the key to winning this year.

| Is he, that's a serious talent. Wouldn't fancy playing him for a fiver on a Sunday Morning. | |

| Good man Louis, won pulling up. Nice earner if you had an epiphany and threw a fiver on him to win. | |
