| Thought I'd start a new thread for the club scene in the coming year.
Anyone know when the cups get underway.
Is there any changes proposed to the Cups, League or Championship for the coming year.

| I know Moorefield have a couple of proposals in regarding the championship, one whereby repeat draws can't happen and another regarding the amount of time between each game. Not sure the exact wording of each of thos proposals though.
I would imagine Aldridge/Dowling and Keogh Cups will begin on the weekend of 16/17 February.
That is based on last years date anyhow.
I believe the League and pre season competitions will retain the format used last year.

| I'm not stirring.
Sometimes proposals are put forward about having a Semi and Final for Leagues.
I thought maybe someone might have came up with a way of making the League a bit more interesting. Maybe a bonus point system for scoring 2 or more goals, or by winning by 5 points.
Something to freshen things up a little maybe.
Anyway who are they teams to watch this year at each grade?
Senior : Athy Intermediate : Castledermot Junior : TMH
When is County Board meeting? |

| It may be a good idea centreback but Kelf is correct it needed to be in for convention and then if passed locally then sent to congress, counties cannot implement their own playing rules it must be done nationally | |

| Can you not have local rules for your own competitions? We had a championship format in place which didn't have to be passed at congress, it wasn't even passed at convention but at a county board meeting, I would say this could be recomended before being sent to the local CCCC before being passed or otherwise at a county board meeting. | |

| County onvention has no say on Competitions or Competition Rules of the Fixtures.
Those are reserved to County Board so its plenty time to put forward ideas on them.
While airing them here might give some reaction and a chance to judge if its woth putting them forward, no point in having good ideas and regretting next October !!!!
Topcat may be more in tune when he (she ) says to get them to the CCCC first but there is only a week or 2 to get it done.

Read again. I did not say so, I quoted Topcat as possibly being more in tune with current GAA procedures

| What generally happens with any competition change suggestions is that they are referred from the county board to the local CCCC and then they will put them forward for ratification at the next county board meeting or just throw them out. | |
