| Here is the betting for Division 3 courtesy of Paddy Power. We're away to Westmeath and Tipperary, which could decide who gets promoted. You'd like to think that if we get our act together, we should win all our home games.
Kildare 11/10 Westmeath 4/1 Tipperary 4/1 Sligo 8/1 Clare 11/1 Offaly 14/1 Longford 16/1 Limerick 22/1
A lot of the proposals for a revamp of the Championship have us in the 2nd tier playing for an All-Ireland B championship so it's vital we get out of Division 3 as quickly as possible.

| With our performances over the last two years we would deserve to be in a B championship.
We should be looking to get promoted and gain a bit of momentum going into the summer. We have got a great draw in Leinster so a promotion before that would do wonders I think. O'Neill has been lucky so far, and it continues with four home games.
It's crazy to think in six weeks it's starts all over again.

| It would be the biggest joke ever if there was a revamp of the championship and they go by league standings it should be what a team did in the last 5 year in the championship would be a fairer way of sorting out the A & B but I cant see anything happening anyway to much politics.
There might be a surprise or two on the panel when they meet up again from what i'm hearing but they should be really aiming for promotion from division 3 anyway for a start.

Not sure how making the last eight and the last 12 would put us in a B championship.

| I'd have no problem with the League being a determining factor once it is being played in that context. It has never been until now, so it shouldn't be.
They should use a measure of the previous two or three years of championships as the starting point and THEN make the League the determining factor if they want. But regardless, there will be teams on the margins with grievances. They'll have to suck it up and qualify for the next year.

| Personally wouldn't worry me if we were in the B competition the first year. We may have reached some Q/F's but we took advantage of easy draws and then took a few hammerings when we met the better teams. We might have some hope of winning the B but on recent years form we are miles behind the top teams. If the two tier competition is to work then there should be 4 teams going up and down each year to give teams an incentive to improve. Anyway we have a competition coming up that we have a good chance of winning and we should go all out for that. | |

| It's true that we're a mile off the top teams but what people always seemed to be forgetting when talking about this during the summer is that if you take out all the teams that can't get close to Dublin and Kerry, you'd be left with five or six teams in the A championship and 26 or 27 in the B. | |

+1 We reached a quarter final this year - and barring Dublin and Kerry losses beat other teams faced in championship quiet comfortably, Cork included (Laois first game aside). There is obviously a gap between ourselves and the likes of Kerry, Dublin, Mayo - you could argue that Tyrone, Donegal and Cork are a bit ahead of us too - but after that ... if a top tier of 12 teams was created, I'd have little doubt that Kildare would and should be in it.
