The fund-raising walk in Offaly was not a County Board event. Now County Board did support the effort but be clear it was a Club Faithful (Supporters Club) affair, well supported by County Board, the Clubs (44) and players, hurling & football both Senior & Under Age. Nothing stopping a similar effort by Kildare Supporters...........

Offaly was a Club Faithful job, so their Club Kildare with a big push on it... Hurlers made national papers last year with their 24 hour run to their credit and made a nice bit. Likewise again the underage hurlers doing their Malin to Mizen run to support themselves and charitable causes.
Any other whispers of something in the pipeline?

Wtf?
Plenty of fundraising done - see earlier posts in thread, €240k surplus for 2020. And vision? What exactly are these plans if not vision?
People who have moaned about these owners for the last 15 years but have still put their hands in the pockets continuously for tickets, merchandise, and TV subs for the entirety of those 15 years allowing themselves to be financially ripped off are no example to any GAA people.
Also, vote the county board out if you don't like them - another contrast with that auld ground football/millionaire's diving competition.

Despite the extraordinary times, the redevelopment is due to start around November I believe.
Good to hear they are still all guns blazing.

November, you don't tend to see many building projects commencing in the middle of winter. I'll believe it when I see.it.

It’s the best time to start. Will be demolition time.... Plenty of rain to keep the dust down.

Was thinking the same as BigFullBack=======
Wont there be major demolition to be done before any building work.
Local residents and business would luv demolition and all associated dirt, dust and mess in summer=======

A preservation order has been put on the toilets so the new stand has to be built around them.

One would like to think that the tender process for the demolition works have been completed and dates pencilled in for the commencement at this stage.
