| Well done lads, shocking stuff by Carlow not good for underage in that county to be coaching like that think they actually would have done better if they had of come out to play football, a sign of what is to come on Sunday would be happy with same result... | |

| Playing that way is not coaching football to me its a cop out from team management. I wonder is this the blue print from the senior management and work its way down to underage. its crap I hate it and I have no doubt that the Carlow players hate it as well. Reading a post on twitter last night Paul Galvin was over in London doing a few training sessions with them. The first thing he did was he looked at the boots the lads were wearing and said how much were your boots €200 €150 etc then he asked how many have an O Neills football €50 where you can kick around to improve your skill no one did. Taught it was very good | |

| Best of luck to the Kildare Minor team tonight. Hopefully, given the few days we've had there will be a big crowd in Newbridge to support them. | |

| Blew them away in the second half, impressive stuff.
Jackman and McDermott flyers at wing back, Broderick a horse in the middle in the field. Some stylish forwards as well with Browne, Curtin, Kennedy & Morrissey. A bit too tiki-taka at times, intricate passing with no end product - but five goals hard to argue with.
We're producing footballers, I can tell you that. As to whether we can ever actually mould them into a proper senior team, we'll see.

| I don't think it does Wiclow have to beat Meath to put the Dubs out, all though Meath are already through so you never know. | |

| Impressive stats that in three matches Kildare have only conceded 18 points cumulative whereas Meath have conceded 54 points in four games | |

| In fairness Wicklow could easily have beaten our lads in the Manning Cup last year. Only fell away in extra time. Wouldn't be easy. There's probably 4 teams in the other group stronger than any of our opponents so hard to know where we're at but that was a serious 15 minutes to blow Laois away. Could understand resting the dual players for Longford but the rest of them probably need another game to sharpen up for the semi. Longford would have to win by 14 to deny our lads top spot. | |

| Think head to head is decisive factor if only 2 teams finish in same number of points so a 1 point win would see Longford go ahead of us. | |

| Another good win for the minors tonight - beating Longford 1-18 to 0-12.
In the other group - Wicklow beat Meath so we play them next. Wicklow have beaten Dublin and Meath in a week! We have home advantage for the semi-final.

Game currently scheduled for Saturday so presumably an early start to allow for the Navan game U20s play Friday night in Tullamore. It's hard to keep up!

| Massively embarrassing week for Meath as their overhyped teams once again fail to live up to expectation. They are about to join Offaly, Laois & Westmeath in the has-beens department. And good riddance to them tbh. | |

| Looking at the Hogan Stand and it appears Meath made 12 changes for tonight's game against Wicklow.
One would imagine the Dubs won't be to happy about that although that said Wicklow did beat them last week.
