Plus there’s a player in squad who shares a name with legendary crime novelist Mickey Spillane.

Playing Dubs always the acid test for any lad who pulls on a white jersey & calls himself a footballer.

Best of luck to all involved today. The team has shown a great work ethic so far and if we can convert more of our chances, hopefully we can get over the line against the Dubs.

Looking at the game on you tube, Kildare should have had at least 4 goals, hard to believe that they 1 point down at half time.

True but in fairness Dublin hit the crossbar 3 times. Good game - 5 points up now in ET

I thought they had lost their chance in the last 10 minutes of normal but fair play to them, overall I felt they were the better team by a good bit.

Kildares subs made a much bigger contribution then the Dublin subs also.

Brilliant win for Kildare. Congrats to one and all.

Showed serious bottle to come back from 5 points down in the 2nd half and to push on in extra time after being pegged back at the death in normal time.

I thought we were the better footballing team throughout and it would have been a travesty if we didn’t win. Those lads are a credit to the county and well done to their mentors/coaches who obviously have done a great job.

Definitely the better team. Faster bigger stronger everywhere. Dublin did miss a few goal shots but we missed just as many. Thought the ref was extremely whistle happy in the first half and punished some tigerish defending.

Bagnall/Browne super. Burke clutch when he was needed. Great everywhere. Thought Eustace was a big presence in the middle as well.

Ah Jaysus mighty stuff altogether.

30 years following Kildare & one of the sweetest wins ever. And MARK MAGUIRE. Jesus H - one of the greatest Kildare underage performances I’ve seen. Lee Keegan-esque.

I went up to him after game & just blurted out something like “Jesus Christ man what a match!”

If we get the right manager to lead all these talented lads coming through, I definitely think there’s a Leinster senior on the way at some point.

Everything missing from the senior setup was on show in Navan today.
From the first minute, they tore into Dublin, hard tackling, lung busting running, belief, honesty of effort, intensity. Very well drilled team.

Mighty mighty stuff, never gave up, never stopped running, never stopped tackling, never let their heads drop and had the skill and talent to finish it off.

A credit to their clubs and County. Push on now, you're as good as any team left. Everyone who can should be out the next day supporting these lads. They deserve it.

That manager should take them on himself next year ?? U20s and Seniors going nowhere at present.

We were the better team early on but when they changed their kickouts we played second fiddle for long periods. They took over and the goal set us back a lot, if they had scored a second one when they walked thu us we could have died but fair play to the lads, and the ref , we battled on and won it.. Watched the game on tg4 YouTube. Carbon copy of U20s last year. Same template. Crisp hard tackling all over the field. Quick ball in to guys that could score up front. Dublin forward swarmed by defenders every time. We were by far the better team. Their free taker kept them in it. Very well coached. Hats off to Colin Ward. As said, very similar to Davy Burke’s style last year. We have the coaches, we have the players - all within our county!

Great win. Coming back from 5 down in 2nd half showed belief and balls of the team. Thought two wing forwards and Maguire were exceptional and ably assisted by the rest. Galway next be another huge challenge as there was nothing between them and Mayo except a controversial late point.

Bagnall and Browne will rightly get the plaudits yesterday for the scores they got, but by jaysus Boyle and Conneelly covered some amount of ground yesterday for the cause - the wok ethic of the whole team was outstanding

Bad weekend for the Dubs. First Kildare and now Laois

Saying we’ve done better at underage than Dublin is misleading. They’ve won five underage All-Irelands this decade to our one. At U21/U20 level they have six Leinsters and four AIs this decade to our two Leinsters and one AI.
