| I was at that game in Enniskillen e.s.b and it was anything but convincing, I f I remember the score was something like 0.9 to 0.8, it was so bad that I needed treatment for PTSD, Kildare were beyond shocking, so if we raise our game I don't see any other result here other than a home victory. If we don't win this then we have no business ever being ambitious. | |

| Plenty of long range point takers in the team, really good test to see how things are progressing. Kildare + 5 | |

| Fresh lineup. New halfbackline and forwardline has potential. No Adam Tyrell injured? | |

| Our half back line gives me the fear. If we lose midfield we could get overrun completely. Surprised to see Neil Flynn in the half forwards but can see him switching with Niall Kelly | |

| A few of the forward line really need to produce this year, if not they must be surely running out of chances. | |

| Donnellan is a fine shot stopper but can be a liability on kickouts. If Fermanagh push up on us expect him to make mistakes. Also disappointed not to see O'Neill start, hope he doesn't get fed up and leave. | |

| Yeah he not there today but!!!! Kildare have had a good few over there. Anyhow day looks good and bring on Fermanagh just want a workmanlike, never say die, tackle like animals performance from a group of players that are more hungrier than Fermanagh and the result will look after itself... | |

| Strong front 8 today which is the main thing really, would have liked to see Keith Cribbin in the half back line possibly just for the little bit of extra experience in there. If Feely is fit enough for the bench then there's a case for saying he should either be fit enough to start or shouldn't be in the squad at all for the day.
Realistically based on league and championship last year and the McKenna Cup this year 10 scores should be enough to beat Fermanagh most days.
Only 4 players playing today who played in the league game against them last year - Neill Flynn the only forward starting again today and on paper even with the absence of Conway it looks a much stronger forward unit today that it did the last time we played them.
It's hard to imagine a new backroom team has changed their style too much from what it has been the last few years and as long as we show enough patience and determination and don't get caught up in anything off the ball we should be able to win this relatively comfortably.

| Seems like there's a lot of fellas on here with ahort term memories. Either that or they weren't at the debacle in Eniskillen last year. I'd be happy with a win today, however we do it. Onwards and upwards after that | |

| Swear to god watching Kildare & Moorefield teams has put years on me. More in-depth post later but just happy & relieved we won.
Jesus did we miss Daniel Flynn. Similar to David Clifford in that he can create something out of nothing. Thank Christ he’s back.

| Midfield up, very good. Thought our defenders weren’t touch tight. Couple of silly frees given up that a blind man could spot from the ball in Naas. Great win though. Fermanagh will take points off teams so it’s good to get over that banana skin. Clare will be a different story. Less defensive but would definitely punish us if we give them the chances we handed to the Erne men today. | |

| Good win, lucky to be up at half time as Fermanagh missed open goal and Donnellan pulled off good save. Donnellan very good today. We showed more grit today than for a while which was encouraging, Fermanaghs forwards caused us more problems than you would be comfortable with. Kevin Flynn made big impression when he came in, Paddy Brophy had his best game in a long time and was our most composed and intelligent player and covered every blade of grass, Armagh look the team to beat in the division. We were far from perfect today but there were encouraging signs | |

| Mixed bag today but still happy enough, Fermanagh more adventurous than we expected, Jesus we still give away a lot of frees and got punished today, big let off earlier on with the shot that smashed the crossbar and down on the line, any update on David Hylands injury?, on the plus side Dan Flynn is a special talent, he was immense today, Donnellan did well today under the high ball, and he had only one mad moment that I can remember, Clare in Ennis next Sunday so hopefully we can keep the juggernaut on the road.... | |

| Delighted with the win. It was essential that we started with a win so that's what we needed by any means.
Funny how people see matches differently, I thought our kickouts were awful. Slow, inaccurate and without any identifiable plan. Donnellan may be a good shot stopper but his kickouts negate that ability.
Dan Flynn being back is a God send. We would have lost that last year. He just has that x factor. Yes he does some silly stuff but he is lethal when he gets a chance.
For a first league game in January against a dogged team Im pretty happy with today, plenty to work on of course but a good foundation to build on. Onto Clare.

| Agree with above, Kevin Flynn very good and encouraging to see Paddy Brophy finish well. Hopefully this kicks him on now to regain form. We took our 2 goal chances brilliantly and they butchered their 2. That was the only difference today. Would have liked a few more scores from play. Thought new lads acquitted themselves well though we were a bit loose at times at the back and better team would have punished us. When Tommy Moolick went off, we struggled on kickouts. Ultimately it was all about getting the 2 points today and building some momentum. Job done. | |

| Agree with Rex, kick outs a big worry. Fermanagh to be fair were good at what they do best and scored freely. At times things seemed no different to last year but we worked a great point around the hour mark, very composed build up and good finish. Fortunate to win by 4 but good to have Dan and Kevin back and Paddy Brophy moving well | |

| Thought we were lucky enough to win, the goals were crucial. Fermanagh were very good at getting players back quickly and denying us space, they on the other hand found a lot of space especially in the first half. The subs made a difference as they drove us forward. Midfield is a problem area going forward with so many injuries, hopefully Hyland won't be out long. I know Fermanagh are very well set up defensively but our slow lateral hand passing was no different to the the previous manager. Many times Robinson and Hyland made good runs for an early pass that never came. It's only the first game but we need quick ball into our forwards. Delighted with the 2 points and the same again next week will set us up nicely for the big games against Armagh and Roscommon. | |
