According to the original fixture list the round for that weekend are fixed for Sat. at 6-00pm.

Also the League Final will have a 2-00pm Throw In.

With the County Minors out on Sat, I'd say there'll be a few Fri. evening matches with Sat. evening for clubs without minors and Sun. afternoon having the teams with Minors playing.

Can anyone enlighten me as to why there isn't a round of SFL matches this weekend?

Or even to have the first round of the championship this weekend so it wouldn't be clashing with the Kildare minor match???

Think it's the fact that it's a Bank Holiday weekend. Just like the weekend of the Bank Holiday in June is also a free weekend.

Jesus lads, I remember plenty of people moaning in previous years when there was games on bank holiday wknds, oxegen, fairyhouse etc.

They are going to have to leave one or two wknds free a year, why not do it on bank holiday weekends and let lads away if they want.

Sensible idea imo, and no I'm not headin away this weekend.

Id imagine Tiabi it was requested by either your club or your opponents to play on a sunday because if not it would have been friday or saturday. alot of clubs request the sunday game with the minors out saturday so i wouldnt go blaming fixture makers!!
