Hawkfield development - €3.4m!

OPen Day tomorrow, definitely calling in, sounds unbelievable. Fair play to all involved for seeing this through and glad to see the clubs get their credit for contributing so heavily to the development - €1million.

Now thats it's built will they be moving everything out there as in Meetings, tickets collections etc...

This is another massive boost to GAA in Kildare. With the football team flying at the moment we really are in a great position. There really is so much potential in Kildare if we can convert only a small number of those 45k kids under 14 into the next Johny Doyle Kildare football will be in a strong position for decades to come.

I believe that approx €16m has been spent on upgrading McHale park so €3.4m looks reasonable in comparison. Maybe attention can be turned to fixing up St. Conleths park now!!

Did anyone else think that for all that money McHale park looked shite on the tv last Sat.............compared to the Altletic Grounds on the other channel. The terrace behind the goals to rhs looked shocking out of date and the stand while obviously new just looks huge............where did they get the blue seats from also - just all looked very strange! I think the best new or refurbed stand around is the one in Tullamore - Class job!

well done hawfield looks brilliant

Went over there tonight and it is excellent. The Main reception is professional and makes a great first impression and the Club crests ala Croke Park is a nice touch. The first pitch with the little stand is very nice.

Pitches are a little bare but a bit of sunshine will work wonders. Overall very impressive and hopefully when up a running will drive Kildare Gaa to new hights.

Well done all involved. Great crowd over there when I was there which was good and heartening to see.

Like to add my congratulations to all involved in development. Visited it on Sat and was pleasantly surprised. Graet comfort and facilities for all our county squads

so will it be available for club championship games? would be nice to get drawn there!
