What a game,if the lads stay together,we will have some senior team

Brilliant display by the best county team Kildare has produced in many a year.
First half went 7 points up playing sublime football - driven on by some brilliant fielding by Hurley. Full Forward line Fogarty-Cribben-Dowling was lethal and had the beating of their men all day.

Second half Dublin got back to within a point due mainly to Hurley coming off injured early in the second half. But the boys dug deep in the last 5 mins to pull out a 3 point lead.

Only 1 small point - thought management were slow to make changes in Midfield when Hurley went off. Moolick or Cribben I thought should have been moved in there. But that is just a small point really - this team is excellantly managed and trained.

Just as in Parnell Park over 3 weeks ago when the chips were down in the half Feeley came up with the goods - fielding some excellent balls and setting up our 2 late points.

Please God this game wont have taken too much of the boys and they can overturn Longford on Sunday (7pm throw in SUnday Evening in Pearse Park, once again Thank You GAA) and get to Croker.

Hugely impressed with this team tonight. Strength throughout the team and a forward line to be feared. Cribben was a class apart and Hurley before injury and Feely all game were magnificent. Stars all over the pitch though. Thought we dug deep when Dubs came back strongly in the second half. Many Kildare teams I have seen would have let them snatch it but the young Lillies turned it up a notch in the last 3 or 4 minutes to seal the deal. Find it hard to imagine Longford will stop them on Sunday but team will be pretty exhausted after tonight's efforts. By the way, 10 EUR for a minor match seems strange compared to 10 EUR to get into Senior Qualifier on Sunday... no consistency there !

I agree. A great game of football. The lads had to dig really deep for the last 10mins. or so. Congratulations to one and all. Unfortunately though nothings been won yet and they have to do it all again on Sunday, but I'm sure Brian and the lads will keep them well focused. Again well done to all concerned. Sorry now but I have to have a little moan, thought the ref was sub-standard.

Brilliant result from a brilliant performance. They showed great character and determination to win this one. Wasn't there but KFM did a great job on the commentary, kick for kick. As flourman said ;the best minor team in years. I can't remember seeing a better Kildare minor team, full of class, flair and talent. Looking forward to Longford, will be plenty of support too after last nights performance.

Great result,they showed great character when dublin came within a point of us.the full forward line is lethal.
The fear now is that they could get caught on the hop against longford after the highs of the last few weeks.Seems to happen in sport all the time.
If they can get the focus right before sunday then they will be well capable of beating them,it wont be easy though.

This is brilliant news and a brilliant minor team. Keep the heads level lads and go on and beat Longford.

We can't take Longford for granted (just look at what their seniors did at the weekend) but if we do manage a win on Sunday, we're guaranteed an All-Ireland quarter-final place regardless of the Leinster Final result. Hopefully we'll get a big travelling support up in Pearse Park because it's a huge game for these young lads.

I really enjoyed this game.It was super and fair play to the two teams but great that we won.There are a number of future stars on the Kildare team but Cribbin is a special talent.Some of his points were unreal.Hurley also had a great game and I am really looking forward to this team for the rest of the year.

Good to have somewhere alright TC obviously censorship is not frowned upon in Kildare headquarters.

Unfortunately I was in work but I sneaked out to listen to the second half on KFM who may I say did a great job on the commentary.

Sounded like the Ref again was giving us a hard time but this is a special team and will be hard bet now as long as they keep there heads down.

I think Murphy will not let them get ahead of themselves but they have a great chance of going all the way this year and some of them players could be the backbone of Kildare teams to come for many years.

I'm no expert on matter pertaining to Moorefield or Leixlip, but that seems a pretty pathetic discussion for either of you to have.
Young Moolick loos like a decent prospect, but then so did his brother at that age. The rest is history!!

Good luck to all the minors against Longford no matter what club you play for. When the white jersey goes on, thats all that counts!

Very exciting future on our hands if we can keep these lads together. Good to see Cribbin is fit as he was a doubt. We should be favourites after beating Dublin but I would not underestimate Longford. They have had good young teams in the past. I still reckon Kildare should get through this test and hopefully win Leinster.
