tipp match on sunday not sure of venue and time yet. minors defeated Cavan last sat in a god competitive game

That's not entirely accurate fone. They were champions last year. I presume some element of that team isn't underage again this year. I'm not knocking the result and I'm glad they won. But it's not like they beat the team that won last year's All-ireland minor championship.

Found this in a piece about Tipp from last years minor manager David Power after their All Ireland success....

The structure that has been put in place in Tipperary has started to pay dividends and almost half of the panel is able to play again next year, but Power is not looking that far down the road just yet. “Eighteen of this panel of 34 is able to play again next year and I know that doesn’t mean anything but we’re just going to enjoy this because we’ve worked so hard for this.”

18 out of a 34 strong panel underage again....

So therefore, it's safe to say that it's not the same team. As I said, I wasn't knocking the result. This year's team could be better. But a team wins a minor or any underage championship, when you bet the following year's team, it's not right to say you beat the champions. That's all I'm saying. It's no biggie anyway. Good to see that they're winning games and with the U17s having gotten so much experience in the Leinster League, that will hopefully stand to those that aren't on this year's minors and make it through next year.

great result by the way, sorry now i didnt get to go, i didnt exactlly have a time for throw in etc.
If anyone knows of further fixtures, they might post them. be good to see how their shaping up.

apparently the 15 tipperary players that finished the minor final last year against dublin are eligible again this year .

Go way to fuck... well then, that's me put in my place and scuttling back into my shell. Doesn't guarantee them success this year of course but if that's a case, it makes them one of the main contenders. And if both teams were at full strength, that represents a great win for Kildare

just the one. cein mcmonagle from balyna. daniel flynn from last years minors and this years u21s is also on it. in total balyna have 6 lads starting and 2 or 3 more on the panel. great achievement for them and a credit to the local clubs involved.

Balyna have six, Kildare minors have 1. That's how I interpreted it anyway

heard from our county minor dat kildare beat cork by 10 pts , and by all accounts didnt take there defeat that well at all .

Oh. What happened that they didn't take it well? I was speaking to the father of one of their players last week and I got the impression that he was expecting them to beat Kildare after the trimmings we gave their so called weakened side in Cork a few short weeks ago.

I know its only a challenenge but fair play for beating Corks full minor side by 10 pts as Cork are always decent enough at underage level.
