Secondly, I bet he is far from stupid, but there is a personality clash there that was not there when Merrins was in charge.
Maybe I'm being harsh on him referring to an ego so I'l edit that, but what sums him up in my eyes was his attitude towards the old forum and the Kildare gaa website in General Remember in his first speech after becoming chairman he used it as a stick to beat genuine supporters who wanted to share their opinion on their county. The championship formats and dates were discussed and decided upon over 3 meetings of the county board in March and April: two standard monthly meetings and one special meeting. The dates for the second round were decided after consultation with McGeeney and ratified at the April meeting. The extra round of the club championship was not thrown in without telling anyone. It was decided by the county board at the March meeting. All these things are the county board’s decision to make not the county manager’s decision and there was consultation with the manager. This is all from the county board minutes.
I think people are far too quick to knock the officers of the county board when they have to follow the instructions they get at an open vote of the club delegates at the county board.
Again, we don’t know that there is a personality clash. Even if there is I think we can trust both people to act professionally with each other.
I agree with you in relation to the old forum but, IMO, it’s not a bad thing having an independent forum.
If the county board minutes say that it must be true. However I distinctly remember McGeeney was asked about the extra round of dates after a League game by KFM and he said he new nothing of them. So who is telling porkies. As for the old website, it was well maintained until it was handed over to the County board to run, then it fell into disrepair. The old forum remember was running for six years before Ashe took over without any controversy. It's gone now so no point harping on about it anymore, but it does show a distinct lack of foresight not to include modern methods in your strategy.

| Turdman how can you say you want Geezer out, after all he has done. The county board should ask him to say on. But with kildare county boards over the years they always to things arse ways.We lost two great players to cork, and if were not careful we will lose a good manager | |

the site and forum was never properly maintained, never properly monitored, never updated.
As was said earlier the county board could have used the site and forum to their advantage, but instead the county board opted to go back to the stone age. Unfortunately for them its the internet era where a forum like this can be set up in a matter of minutes, one which they have no control over.
fone new faces are already on the panel Eoghan Flats, Thomas O'Connor, Peter Kelly, Keith Cribben, 2 new goalkeepers, David Whyte. There is only some many people you can blood in one season and expect tobe competitive also. Will you get a grip. Exactly and what do we have now? Nothing, it's a joke and the forum was very mild and self regulating. For those of us who live outside the county it was a nice way to stay in touch with week to week activity. So how is this progress?

| Listened to the Podcast, excellent words from Geezer, made a lot of sense and was not afraid to speak his mind to the journos. I suspect he will want to stay for a few more years and I hope he does,he is making progress with these bunch of lads who are still young and will improve with years along with the youth we have coming through the minor team. The future is bright. | |

| turdman is reveling in his new found fame.
turdman thought the McGeeney interview was the first time he got to see McGeeney really open up.
Turdman reckons McGeeny keeps his cards tight to his manly chest and that this is a side to him that turdman has never seen before.

| turdman thinks you should change your name to carbury so that there can be no confusion.
tudman believes no one will ever be on the same wavelength as him, your spelling of length only makes turdman believe this all the more.

| Leave the chap alone. Maybe he will become irritating but for the moment it's a bit refreshing. It's good to see someone not take everything so seriously.
Turdman for Honorary President of the new forum!
Maybe we could put on a slogan (in honour of turdman) on our poloshirts. Sam, can you sort it for us?
