Am going for Croatia game for a few days.

We will get 4 points. (Draw Croatia, Lose to Spain and beat Italy)..dont know if that will get us through.

Hope Ireland does well and will watch games that dont clash with Championship games here !!!!

How did you manage that? Did you go to a load of away games this campaign?

go to as much as i can,got 4 cat 1 we did...attend all home games aswell!2 the lads going only missed the russia game away aswell!!

all booked - going to all 3. got the tickets from the Uefa ticket portal, was very handy. all Cat 1 tickets aswell though. anybody could get tickets on the ticket portal but it closes this saturday ithink. may not be too late!

Ive been a block booker in various guises since 1989 and have gone to most home games since then. Try cold damp february nights in the old lansdowne or RDS versus the likes of Wales or Canada for commitment but sure Johnny D and his disco train, tie grabbing sellouts dont give a shite about that. Im a little bit sour about the whole process.

ended up paying over the odds for Croatia tickets but dont begrudge any decent fans who got tickets.

yeah i found it an absolute pain in the hole to be honest - a nerd friend of mine found some way of automatically refreshing the page or something so he spent a couple of weeks at it and we got lucky. that was about a month ago now, not sure if there are still tickets to be got but worth trying.

It will for sure. Even though I was raped and pillaged on the ticket prices I just had to make sure I got there. It will be electric in Poznan that first weekend. And its likely the sun will be shining too. Shorts and shades beer and babes and of course the footie......happy days.

I reckon we might get one point, for a scoreless draw against Italy. I think Ireland not scoring will be a great bet. I will watch though and hope for the best. Meanwhile, ye'll have some of the best sessions of ye're lives... I'm very jealous, but ye've been supporting at a time when it's not cool to do so, so fair fucks

Well said Manbearpig. The amount of shite irish soccer fans have had to take from other sports fans over the last 10 years while the egg chasers were doing well is unreal. Irish people love a good bandwagon.

I couldnt give away spare ireland tickets for free in work in that time but of course when the big games against France and Germany came in recent years they were screaming for them. Hate that shite.

Guaranteed there'll be a good few of those type in Poland too. Probably the same fuckers who got my FAI allocation.

I'm old enough to remember the pre-Charlton era and I supported Ireland when we consistently under-performed. I don't know if there'll ever be a time in my life like 1990 - I was 19. All I can say is wow! I remember working with a guy a couple of years later that was about ten years older than me and he yearned for the days when Ireland were successful no more so that it would go back to being the genuine supporter. But look, that's success. Rugby is the same now. I remember when you'd get into Donnybrook to see Leinster play no problem, and that only takes 6,000 people. And Munster was handy before Heineken Cup glory too.

I fell out of love with the Irish soccer team in 2002. Saipan. I've tried, because I am absolutely insane about sport and insane about watching IRish sport - cricket, rugby league, hockey, tennis, come on the Irish. But Saipan gutted me. I watched all the games bar the Spanish match - I was in Killarney for Cork-Kerry - but I listened on the radio. It was never the same though.

I watched under Kerr and will argue that he was rode all ends up because he didn't fit. To replace him with a guy with no managerial experience and give him more money and a longer contract was mad, and that's not even taking hindsight into it.

I still watched many of the games under Stan.

Since Trapp though, I've watched very little, even if I'm at home. It's 90 minutes of hardship. The national fervour isn't enough for me. And knowing our best footballers aren't playing or even travelling makes it just more frustrating. Ray Houghton's analysis doesn't help.

I'm hoping the fervour takes over in the Euros. Of course I hope they win the thing, win a game, get out of the group, do as well as they can.

Long range forecast for our first game against Croatia..28 degrees. Rain on the saturday ( not good) ...although it wont rain in the bars. Anyway any forecast over 3 days in unreliable.Got my Zloty the other day. Should be able to get beer for €1 to €2 a pint. Woohoo......
