| Congrats to JTB intermediate champions 2013. Worthy champions , by far the strongest team in intermediate, and the best team on the day yesterday. Credit to castledermot as well who made a good game of it and made jtb work hard for their title. Sean Hurley motm, the 2 Flynns, the 2 cribbins, the 3 mcnallys all had their moments as well. Score of the game has to go to castldermot full forward Eugene mahon? who's goal in the 2nd half, when he took on and beat the whole jtb backline brought c'dermot back into the game and is the best goal I have see in newbridge in a long time | |

| Well deserved win, they looked like a senior team and will be a good addition to the senior championship. Best of luck in Leinster. | |

| Agree 100%. The best intermediate champions in a long time. They are much better equipped for senior than any other club since Confey.
Proper football. None of this 14 behind the ball crap. Keep the heads and they will win an AI junior!
Great club. Great tradition. Great to have them back!

| JTB were by far the better team, the midfield and half forward line they had would get on most if not all senior teams in the county. No idea why Castledermot kept kicking the ball out on top of Hurley over and over again. Made no sense. Agree with the poster above about Eugene Mahon's goal. Was absolute class. Castledermot should have a decent U21 team again this year with a lot of those lads underage again.

| It will be intriguing to see how they get on at senior level next year. They're a very talented squad. | |

| Believe to achieve if JTB are best equipped team since Confey and you don't like the 14men behind the ball stuff sounds like Monasterevan don't really float your boat!! Hope JTB win a Leinster like Monasterevan and other Kildare teams did before them and maybe an All-Ireland think they have the Dublin winners away in the 1st round which will test them. | |

| I didn't mention any if the teams that play with 14 behind the ball, but since you named one, I agree.
Both Confey and JTB play decent attacking football. Previous winners pack men behind the ball and try employ the dark arts. Usually manage to win one game a year to keep themselves at senior before eventually going back down.
I didn't name monstreven because I wasn't specifically talking about them. But you correctly spotte that they fall into that category

Couldn't understand it myself. Hurley simply stood in the middle of the pitch and sprinted to which ever side the kickout went. Look at the AI final again and count how many times Cluxton kicked it long, not once, totally taking Aiden O'Shea's influence out of the game. JTB have unbelievable talent throughout their team not just in midfield and attack, I thought James O'Connor and Luke Flynn were excellent in defence. Castledermot will be a senior club in the next few years I've no doubt about that, they have some serious players in their underage. Nice touch at the end with Castledermot lining up to applaud Johnstownbridge off the field. Fair play to Henry Barrett too, I thought he had a good day, he let the play flow as much as possible.

| Tough draw for JTB, Dublin is a prelim match so still three rounds left if they get through.
Dublin intermediate is stange in that i think they run off the quarter, semi and final within a week of each other.. You would imagine a team having played 3 intense dublin championship games in a week will be on the absolute lash thereafter and that a sunday turnaround against a young jtb team will be very very tough.
Have PP priced it up yet?

I meant the match odds rather than the whole championship. You probably meant the whole championship,

| St Olaf's came from 7 points to 2 down at half time to win 1-13 to 12.
Their ground is pretty much in the Sandyford / Stillorgan industrial park, straight down the M50 and on the Luas line so not too bad a trip to make. (EDIT - can't remember the ground having a stand so not sure if they'll actually be able to play it there, Kilmacud Crokes and Ballinteer St John's only a few minutes away so imagine they'd be the alternative venues?)
Pretty sure the only county player they have is the Byrne lad who captained the minor team in the All Ireland last year.
Obviously hard to call but no reason why JTB can't win it.

| Naomh Olaf are a div 3 side. Bridge should win it easy enough. Bridge are 8-11 To win the IFC leinster with paddypower . You won't see that price on the site but you should be able to back it over the phone if you have an online a/c....not that it's much of a price at all anyway. | |

| Olaf were complete outsiders to win that match aswell... Theyll most likely be on the batter from now until the week end! JTB should be firm favourites. | |

| naomh olaf obviously not hampered by all the odds stacked against them. were the more consistent team over the 60 mins. JTB lads seemed to slip back to their old habbits again. individual running with the ball and notgiving the correct pass to the player in the best position. Their backs never looked comfortable and apart from james o connor I thought were very poor. Bad day at the office for hurley. would not think it was the same man who played in the county final. | |
