| Niall McNamee is one of the best forwards in the country and was brilliant this summer for Offaly. I'm told Anton Sullivan was excellent against Navan as well. | |

| [quote="TommyKeegan"]Not to be cruel after a fine season that surprised many on here including myself but have a couple of good friends within the Louth club scene, they deride the state of their own championship, spoke before game about O'Mahony's and regardless of location that's an absolutely sh*te result. Really, really sh*te. Sorry, just being honest.[/quote
Seems the judges in Louth were a little off the mark. Spoke to member of the Meath team beaten yesterday said Louth team were head and shoulders ahead of any team they played. If Cian Bolton hadn't got a black Eadstown may have won a Leinster.

Looked this up out of curiosity. Got 1-3 from play against Rhode according to match reports (not always reliable!) but you're right about last year, only one point from play against Portlaoise. | |

| Watching the Leinster Club Final yesterday and I for the life of me can't understand how Diarmuid Connolly remained on the pitch particularly after he got booked, he should have got a second yellow at least 3 times.???? | |

| Connolly Terrorised Rhode troughout.. and then took on the Sullivan Brothers As I posted previously.. Moores losing to Rhode was a blessing, as they wouldnt have kept it kicked out to Vincents.. They didnt get out of 2nd gear, and should have scored another 3 or 4 Goals Yesterday.. | |

| Connolly is top notch and he put up with some shit yesterday, how he didn't loose the rag I don't know, Rhode players spent more time trying to get him sent off than playing football and it showed on the score board. Saying that I watched the Offaly county final and it was dire was actually surprised the got to the decider | |

| Connolly is a savage footballer but a complete arsehole on the pitch the thing he did to Fitzpatrick was shocking!! If I was playing against him (I never will I'm shite) I'd definitely try to wind him up. | |

| Dosent say much for the standard of Senior Club Football in Kildare then ballyboy.. While the Club Championship does seem to give Clubs from the weaker Counties a better chance.. It still looks like it might be a Dublin v Kerry Final. Rhode to their credit kept going.. but Vincents on their Day tbh would beat a lot of County Teams. | |

| I know Connolly has a history but he was definatly sinned against more than sinned on Sunday. Rhode wasted so much energy trying to wind him up. Gilroy and Gavin would have worked plenty with Connolly in keeping his cool and as part of his off the field antics I assume he would have done some anger management. He wont fall into the traps of getting sent off as easily as he has done in the past!! |
