| Suprised with the complete lack of coverage on the minor club championships this year probably to do with the county team going so far but how and ever were down to the nitty gritty stages of both A and B championships with the groups stages finishing off tonight.presuming the format is the same as it always has been (1v8 2v7 etc.) here are the quarter final line ups for both championships.
A championship: Sarsfields vs Athy Clane vs Raheens Monasterevin vs St.Laurences Moorefield vs Maynooth
B Championship: Eadestown vs Ballymore Estate Suncroft vs Confey Castledermot vs Rathangan Rheban vs Balyna
Eliminated teams A&B Celbridge,Naas,Kilcock,Round Towers. Aylmer Gaels, Leixlip, Two Mile House, Kilcullen.
Think the minors deserve a bit more publicity, looking for people's recaps of the group stages, suprised quarter finals and eliminations and predictions for quarter final games etc.
Personally the exits of division 1 finalists Celbridge and division 2 finalists Aylmer Gaels from their respective championships along with the downfall of Two Mile House given they were in the A final in 2013 are huge shocks. Sarsfields and Clane have been impressive along with Eadestown in the B, some interesting quarter finals too with Sarsfields vs Athy and Moorefield vs Maynooth. Shaping up to be an interesting couple of weeks.

| Good post, and I agree some interesting quarter final parings, and yes after a good league campaign its surprising to see Celbridge not make the cut. Anybody any idea when these games will take place? and are the semi finals an open draw? | |

| Because its gone on so long and with the schools back a lot of teams struggle to get their best team out. That's why there have been some strange results. | |

| Bad week for larries at minor and senior. And they face the surprise team monasterevin again in the quarters. I go with sash. Clane. Monasterevin and Moores to advance. Eadestown. Confey. Castledermot and balyna in the b to progress.

| Eadestown have defeated 3 teams who are out of the championship so its hard to gauge how good they are | |

| Wouldn't really agree with teams not being able to get their best lads out you'd imagine any young lad with aspirations in the game would make it their business to be at crucial games especially because of how important minor has become to the players, my own club had lads travel from athlone and Galway to play last night. Think the B quarter finals are interesting a lot of them could go either way. Reckon Moorefield and Maynooth could be the tie of the round and I'd give Maynooth the nod along with Sarsfields who could be ran close depending on which Athy team show up, reckon Clane and Monasterevin would have too much for Raheens and Larries. I'd go with Eadestown, Suncroft, Rathangan and Rheban to come through. Think it's an open draw in semi finals | |

| Interesting the rivalry between the two villages! They hate one another. Have produced some decent teams, certainly in underage hurling in times gone by under that amalgamation of KillArd. | |

| What a difference a few days make St Laurences turned around a 20 + pts defeat to Monastrevin last Wednesday by winning the quarter final rematch tonight by 10 pts | |

That's a turn up for the books. Almost Sarsfields like from the league final to Rd. 3 against the Moores.

| Clane gave Raheens some beating. All set now for a clane v sash final. Which should be interesting if the sash get to the senior final aswell. | |

| Very harsh there Dido, all SM has done is predicted both favourites will win their respective semi finals, hardly a prediction worth of the phrase "gobshite", having seen Sarsfields last two games they will need to improve a hell of a lot to beat Moorefield who will be extremely well coached with Sos over them. | |

| Jez dido did I offend you ?. Feck. I'd better not dare have an opinion.. my point was that SHOULD THE sash get to the final then we will have an issue with players POSSIBLY being involved in both finals. I apologise to the good people of morefield. St laurences. Oh and celbridge senior's. | |
