Rheban through to B Final after 1-10 to 0-10 win over Rathangan.

Play Suncroft or BME in the final.

Great performance by Mark Murray with 10 points by all accounts. Was he not on the minor panel??

He was he started in the league final versus Dublin and although he is an exceptional free taker I thought even tonight his contribution from play was minimal. Imo it's chance missed for moorefield. Can't see Sarsfields being as bad the next day. Also feel Sarsfields are limiting themselves big time. They have leister u20 rugby player Peter Howard back and seem to insist to kick high ball into him which did not work atall. I seen this Sarsfields team at under 16 use this tactic well when he was a foot taller than everyone but I feel Sarsfields are a much better team than this high ball tactic and id like to believe padraig brennan and Co have a bit more guile than that

Living at a distance the desperation from GAA to laud everything else (please English people tell us our games our good now they are on Sky) knows no bounds. Played Aussie Rules, he'll be huge. Played pro soccer, he'll be huge. Played pro rugby, he'll be huge. Do people not realise that a lad playing for a good football county has the level of preparation as a provincial rugby player, second-division soccer player, and better than a VFL player in OZ. Obviously money makes a difference to lifestyle but in a well prepared county it shouldn't be much different. Can we stop with the returns, some guy isn't coming from Barcelona or the All Blacks. Baffles me. Insecurity, or desperation. Probably both, but I favour the former.

In fairness to Peter, he was a wrecking ball at this age group at both u/14 and u/16, his lack of football over the last 12-18 months is definitely counting against him at the moment. Moorefield probably should have won the game last night and were definitely the better team, Sarsfields 2 goals were the only thing that kept them in the game really.

The replay will be interesting, I would like to think Sarsfields have more scope for improvement but that may not be the case as their performance last night was similar to the performances delivered against both Maynooth and Athy.

Moorefield 2.13.  Sarsfields 1.09.   Moorefield well worth their 7 point win.

What are peoples views on the Minor final on Sunday? As a Clane man this is one we badly need to win, its been a barren view years and would be a huge boost. There was only a couple of points between them when they met earlier in the competition and id expect more of the same at the weekend. Hopefully our lads will be on the right side again.

I'd of thought Clane would have too much bit saying that I thought Sarsfields would have too much for moorefield. It's a championship final and I'm sure moorefield feel just the same as Clane about their recent endeavours in underage football as everyone seemed to believe Sarsfields were producing the stronger underage teams in Newbridge. Should be a very good game with some key battles all over the pitch. Really think it could go either way but I'm going to go out on a limb and say moorefield to shade it by 2

Congrats to the Moorefield Minor team on an excellent victory yesterday.
It was a huge effort put in by team and management.
10 of the starting 15 are underage next year too!

Is there a Leinster minor championship, seem to remember Athy beating Na Fianna in the final of it a couple of years back but may no longer exist.
