| McNally or Hartley into the half forwards with Niall Kelly moving to the corner or Leper in a straight swap with Neil Flynn. How far away is McCormack from a return? | |

| Promotion has all of a sudden got so much tougher. I reckon Niall Kelly will tuck into the corner with Fionn or Hartely into half forward. A good opportunity for Dowling or Hartley now. Rotten luck with injuries but hopefully these lads are flying for championship.
Best of luck to Neil Flynn with his recovery.

| The loss of neal and Ben is a blow, although Chris has done well.. I don't think fionn is suited to the FF line tbh. The lack of a specialist free taker is a worry. What's the story with Adam tyrell anyone ?.. I see he was prominent in the win at the weekend for his club. | |

| Woodgate was impressive for the under 21's seems to have developed well from minor.
For Sunday I would bring Fionn to wing forward, Paul C to 11 and Niall Kelly inside. We could use Dowling's free taking but agree FF line no longer seems suitable for him.

| Dowling has found his niche in the Midfield. Moving him to the full forward line would be a mistake. I think Kelly will move into the corner and McNally or Hartley will come in in the half forward position.
If Woodgate did do well in a challenge, why not try him. Our experiment with youth this year has worked out pretty well so far. It's in games like this we should be testing the lads. No good throwing them in when May or June come when inevitably we get more injuries.

| Perhaps Woodgate playing v Wex was in advance of springing him against Down? Lot of pressure on a young lad particularly if taking frees as well. Would have him on bench. | |

| I personally wouldn't have thought so Fone. But, if he is on the panel then he has to be an option. If O'Neill wouldn't start him then why have him on it! |

Niall kelly would be the only real option imo.. but it's a worry. Big jump from a beaten u21 team to senior for woodgate .. Surely heavey or slattery are ahead of him.. and as was asked, why are they there if not good enough or not going to get a chance.

| Slattery do a job as a half forward/half back. Need a freetaker though. | |

| This is why it would have been great if Flats was available this year. Treble blow when you look at it that way. | |
