| I'm actually half-hoping there was some reason for N Flynn's red - otherwise it's yet another all-time low for GAA officialdom. | |

| So yeah, seeing N Flynn incident at half time - no way a red card. More disgraceful refereeing.
Clifford showing huge talent for diving as well to get Hyland a black. Prick.

| Naive from Kildare once again, we never take into consideration that referees are so warped. Really up against it with 2 Flynns and Hyland not on pitch. Need composure. Go for it lads f*@k the gaa and referees. We always knew that we would pay eventually for Newbridge or Nowhere. Hoping for the best. | |

| Moran should be in the olympic diving team. I'm not sure there was even a foul there. Howler from the ref.
It looked like Flynn struck at the player after he went down so it's understandable that the ref sent him off.
Hyland clearly pulled Clifford back by the collar of his jersey. Left the ref with no choice.

| Flynn was trying to bat the ball free so he could take a quick sideline. This feigning injury is disgusting. I can see why the black was given but Donaghy did the same thing and nothing came of it.
There was an obvious throw immediately after the red that was let go, a soft penalty..... Sure I suppose you have to expect you won't get much against Kerry in Killarney but FFS when is a big decision going to go in our favour? Is it when we act like thugs? When we start diving?

| Let’s just focus on the first 33 minutes of the game where we were outstanding - forget the rest , shite refereeing decisions and a nothing game thereafter
Lots of positives from first 33 mins , Cribbens execution was top notch , his technique is improving all the time as is his shot selection. I Grady was playing a blinder on Donaghy and Kevin Flynn was a joy to watch on the ball.
We definitely didn’t get enough credit from the pundits at half time , it was all about Kerry with almost no praise forkildare . Enjoy the night out down there lads , you earned it and thanks for turning things around after Carlow - an enjoyable summer .
Promotion and at least 1 win in super 8s the target next year

| Interesting surveying football landscape after this evening.
If we could ever actually get a ref who understands the rules we'd be dangerous. Think that's the end of Fitzmaurice. Kerry massive problems defensively, and until they sort them out they need to stop deluding themselves that they're All Ireland contenders.
Meanwhile, Galway's chances of beating Dubs left the station with Comer's red card. Serves them right. Can see Monaghan or Tyrone/Donegal pushing Dubs, but actually beating them? No.
So looks like the drive for five will commence in earnest next year. Prepare for the Dub hype machine to reach unprecedented levels. Anyone got an underground bunker handy...

| All-star noms for P Cribbin & D Flynn a certainty. I think at least of one them deserves one - mind you I said the same about Feely on here last year and the response was roughly on a par with an average Trump tweet. | |

Agree on All-star noma for Cribbin and Flynn

| Oh, well if Comer is available that would change the dynamic...
Fitzmaurice made the right call stepping down. He did exceptionally well winning an All Ireland, league & going unbeaten in Munster with a team in transition. Not that he'll get much thanks for it...

| Jesus what is it with the referees. Another useless pick today. Delighted for Kerry, diving bunch of twats. Rolling around holding their face when they were hardly touched. Clifford gets a pull of the jersey goes down holding his face. Another cheating clown.
Saying all that we pressed the self destruct button. I think it's time to talk about Donnellan. He makes some good saves but he also is very dodgy fron time to time. That second goal was unforgivable given the circumstances. His kickouts are hit and miss. Aaron O'Neill may get a chance sooner rather than later. We were very good in the first half but we should have shut up shop and made Kerry work inote as theasy oldo failings came to the fore again. All to easy. Not sure if O'Neill will stay or if he should but that's for another day.
Anyway as I said delighted for Kerry with their cheating and diving. Also delighted for Galway as their goose is cooked now as well.
As you can tell I'm not in the best of moods after that may calm down later.

| I'll have to watch the sending off again but in real time there was nothing in it. Mick O Grady outstanding in the 1st half. We looked to be setting up well until the freak goal, pity we hadn't converted a couple of the chances we'd created early in the 2nd half. It gives us hope again and just keeps dragging us bak | |

| No way a sending off. Never in a million years. Great first half. No reason for us to fear any of that so called second tier of Galway, Monaghan, Donegal, Tyrone. Mayo are probably still the only team who could give the Dubs a game. If we can get one or two players through from the 20th and find another from the club championship a la Kevin Flynn last year we will be in good nic for 2019. | |

| Never a red. Moran should be ashamed of himself.
Like Rex said, the scale of the Kildare collapse was embarrassing. They just threw in the towel once they went down to 14.
Paul Cribbin was outstanding as he has been for most of the championship. The unsung hero of the year for me is Mick O'Grady. Outstanding again today as he was against Galway last week.
Certainly not a championship we'll forget in a long time.

| Taibi. Check your bullsh!t. They didn't throw in the towel at all. They had some savage blows in a 10 minute period. Sending off, black card, ridiculous goal. This wasn't a collapse like the 7 goals or Carlow. They kept at it but Kerry just had momentum. Kerry players would have had to sneak out of stadium in Kildare bus if lost that 2nd half v 14.
They took a 4 point lead against Kerry, pegged back and then went 6 up again. Without D Flynn.
O'Neill even made a great tactical change in putting Brophy in at 14. He could have had 2 goals If he had faster feet. His passing, shooting and positional play are top but he needs to work hard on fast feet and explosive play.
We matched the other teams for 2.5 games in the group. Kerry were muck for 2.5 games.
Healy and N Flynn have great link play. Similar in league last year if I recall for a few goals.

The body language from a few players gave it away. Decisions aren't always going to go their way, right or wrong, but they have to learn to cope with that at times. In a way it's hard to be overly critical of that considering there was nothing at stake and it's been a hectic last 5-6 weeks. Just left a bitter taste after a decent championship, no one likes getting hammered. Little point moaning about referees, nothing will be done, same ref will probably be awarded with one of the last 3 games.

| The last couple of games showed us how the top teams are able to play the ref in order to gain an advantage. Not nice but it looks like something we need to add to our game to compete at this level. We need to keep our discipline at all times and not give refs the chance to make these decisions. Embarrassing antics by the Kerry players it has to be said.
When it was 15 against 15 we were excellent and dominated the match. It was difficult when we were a man down as Kerry had an extra man for their kick outs and really pushed up on ours. We certainly didn't give up but it was the old problem of conceding scores too easily. Most teams score over 18 points against us which is way too much. The big task the man in charge next year is to stop us conceding those big scores without affecting our attacking play too much. Easier said than done but a 3 point swing in a lot of matches this year would have seen us come out the right side of the results.
Finally I'd just like to thank the team and management for the hard work and the enjoyment they've given us this year. Cill Dara abu.

| The incident which lead to the red card will happen at least 15/20 times today in the Donegal v Tyrone match and it will be put down as typical ' Ulster Derby ' with no action been taken.
I think D. Flynn has a bit to go yet to be considered All Star material.
