Link to the match programme btw. Was a bit of an ordeal to find, no sign of it on the Kildare website, the GAA website or the Leinster Council website. Leinster twitter had a link though. I think the GAA still lets itself down on online communications.

Junior C level filmed on an early 2000s Nokia phone. Embarrassing all round. Oozing mediocrity.

Embarrassing sh*te. Back to mid-2000s stuff. Pathetic. Warned about Jack. Wonder how much he's been paid this year? Never mind defend, the incredible art of basic hand-passing is beyond a lot of those lads.

Dreadful stuff. So weak and spineless at the back. Brophy giving a masterclass in how not to defend.
McStay hit the nail on the head in the first half, Kildare have great athletes but the ability and intelligence is just not there.
Kildare have won 3 championship matches in Croke Park in 15 years.
Embarrassing.

Absolutely embarrassing. Some of the defending for those goals was disgraceful. No composure at crucial stages. They should take a year out from football and collectively see a sports psychologist or something. I remember against Kerry two years ago where we had a commanding lead at half time and proceeded to concede two comical goals shortly after half time so this isn’t anything new. They really are just pathetic.

Could have been up by 10 or 12 at H/T kicked some really bad wides and then the one thing you dont wanna do early in 2nd half is concede a goal n we concede 3 in ten mins. Shocking.

Meath scored 7-14 against Wicklow. Scored 5-09 against us. So we're a bit better than Wicklow

Can’t keep blaming the management. The players need to take a long hard look themselves - absolutely no heart, the old guard must be scratching their heads - Glenn etc.

Did they get the Covid vaccine at half-time? If so, it's really not safe!

Fullbackline exposed. No cover. Arse fell out of it then. We know where we have to improve next year. No need for tge hysterical reactions though.

6 points up, cruising. Meath woeful.
How do you capitulate at that point. How. Goals 3 and 4 were awful self destruction. Knocked the stuffing out of them. Started going for goals too soon. Had plenty of position at 65 mins, 10 to go at that point, and didn't try pick off the points. Ref was giving Jimmy nothing but he still kept avoiding the shot and going to contact. Bah. K.Flynn missed a goal in the 1st. Terrible handpass across the face of the goal early in the 2nd too by him led straight to a Meath goal when it very well should have been a goal chance or simple point for us. Little things. The in game thinking. None of it. Won't go on too much. Not here to call anyone pathetic or that.
Silver lining is Dublin won't let Meath score those goals and could destroy them. Better them than us.

The worrying thing is that it looks like we didn’t realise the potential for this to happen, they scored 7 goals last week and we could of conceded 7 goals to Offaly and we haven’t had the strength and ruthlessness to get goals this year...... we need to have a serious look at our players and the players we are producing where are the strong men, leaders with explosive power and maybe not as much skill as other that are willing to put their bodies on the line..... too nice....

I'd have Glenn in next year. Keeps getting overlooked for all these gurus and what not. Christ, give me someone who can grow a pair of balls in that lot and we'll work on the fancy stuff after that.

We have better players than Meath, unquestionably. Keoghan and O Sullivan are the only two who would make our side. McEntee is in his fourth year and he's a good manager however so we need to be wary. At least 3 of the goals they got v Wicklow were flukey. If we turn up and play to our potential, we will win.
Laughable delusion. Worryingly a lot of Kildare fans and players think like this. Meath will win this by 7 or 8 points.

People talking about replacing the manager should be ignored. Kildare improved in many areas this year. Good players were introduced and replaced. Clearly we have issues across the fullbackline. That will be addressed next year.

Thank god supporters were not permitted today. That is just sickening. I dont know if leaking 5 goals or falling to pieces was worse. Even after the 4th goal we were still in with a shout for a brief period with regards to scoreboard and the time left. But we had already fallen apart after the by the second goal, they lost shape, had no positional sense and looked clueless.

There's no point talking about managers, until Kildare can produce players with some intelligence and heart we'll never do anything but embarrass ourselves. Let's face it we're a county that ,with a couple of exceptions, have produced poor and weak teams throughout our history. The majority of our good club and county teams have always had talent but so weak mentally when the going gets tough, we win f**k all.

Not sure how you can blame the manager. It's the same as the previous manager. They aren't the ones not tracking runners or giving away possession in front of our own goal or missing a fisted point from 10 yards away or being unable to do a basic skill of picking the ball up under pressure, basically I could list a dozen problems that were all player related.
The biggest issue these Kildare players have is the six inches between their ears. Once the pressure comes on and teams run at us we are goosed.
How he overcomes this will be the making or breaking of his tenure. I'm not even sure it can be done.
