Its great to see the draws happening so close to the dates of the actual games themselves and for the semi final draw not been made until after the quarter finals.
I have always wondered why we needed to make the draws in October the previous year, about 8 months before some of the games.
I'd be worried about Louth if they come through.... they've always been a bogey team for us and will be resurgent under Mickey! I can still remember in '91 and saying to myself "I'll wait and go to croke park the next day".... What an arrogant fool I was!

Wrong year in the topic title but we should turn to the Leinster Championship at this stage - might not last long anyway.......
First up it's Offaly or Louth in either Portlaoise or Navan on July 4th. Will be a tricky encounter whichever one it is - they both won promotion so whoever wins that preliminary round game will meet us with a bit of momentum. Hopefully, us sealing promotion to Division One will give us that bit of confidence and belief to kick on and continue the progress we made in shortened league campaign. We will be favourites and hopefully some of the injuries will have cleared up by then.
Win that and it's all about avoiding Dublin in the SF draw to extend the season .....

You would think that after the boost of promotion and coming through a good test agauinst Meath we would have too much for either Offaly or Louth. The summer football will suit us a bit more up front and there seems to be competition inside. A lot will depend on how the injuries are healing up. Sadly, Paul is gone but any word on the others?
Also I am delighted to see Meath tear themselves asunder and that spit claim is great fuel for the lads IF we meet them in the championship.
Anyone want to take a shot at the Starting XV?

Interesting to see Ben back in. I wonder will he really start ? McLoughlin, O'Sullivan & Dan Flynn (apparently fit) options too. I haven't seen much about tickets - anyone know the story yet ?

Best of luck to the lads tomorrow, if we play our best we will win, good to see a lot of the injuries clearing up after the Meath game. Up the Lilies.

Meath must be cursing their luck to run into the better of the split personality of this team in the league a few week back because its been poor stuff.
Ben McCormack has been shocking. Considering what we have on the bench I'm not quite sure how he's still on the pitch. Feely poor. Masterson poor.
Lethargic and heavy legged. If we don't wake up in the 2nd half we are going to get done, Mark my words.
Mick O'Grady showed more composure in the mark and point at the end of that half than most of the forwards have shown in that first half. McCormack has been wasteful. Too many wides, too many dropped short and wrong options taken (Doyle should have taken point not gone for goal).

I'm Doyle's defence he is a defender that isn't in that position too often. But agree he should have taken point .
All over the park we can be accused of poor option taking . We could easily have shipped 2 goals in that half. Our defensive structure seems to be all over the place. And during the league, it actually looked quite organised.
