We really missed the role that Earley plays on sunday and were dominated in midfield. DE has been fantastic this season but hasn't been the most mobile in fairness. If he could have got on top in regards to securing ball we may have been better off.

It's here in Daragh's blog, this address should be saved in everybodys favourites, a great read for any GAA or sports fan for that matter.

I don't think bringing video ref is the answer, as someone pointed out where would you draw the line it works in rugby because as pointed out it is a stop start game anyway. I think changing the rule regarding the small square is the answer, make it a foul to challange the keeper and if need be make the square smaller, after all the reason the current rule was put in place was to protect the keeper. Regarding Smyths point we have all seen the replays and depending on the angle its still not clear so it doesn't help there, the hawkeye system should sort out that problem.

I have a solution to all this carry on about umpires and refs etc.

Its a bit leftfield so bare with me.....How about...

I can't understand how one from the ref, two umpires and two linesmen couldn't see the point. The ref probably has the best view cos he'd be looking at it straight on about 40 yards from the goals. Can't think of too many times when I was on the pitch that I couldn't tell if the ball was over or not.
