Well done Athy. Great work being done down there these days. This "leinster Minor" championship is not run by Leinster council per say. Its run by carlow club Eire Og so i think thats the end of it....may be wrong though.

ye eire og run it each year. It seems to be taken more seriously in recent years in years gone by teams would head down with little preparation and just see how it goes. Things have changed tho. Its a good idea to give the younger players the same chance to represent their counties that the senior champs get

Think they were all in it again this year, as in all county champs. Athy lost last year in final by a point to Na Fianna from Dublin.

Well done Athy. Just read the report and the team list in the Indo and it appears Feely wasn't playing. This makes their win all the more impressive.

Great few months for the club. There will be big things expected in the Senior Championship this year. Would be good for Kildare football to have another strong team to make the SFC even more competitive.

don't think the scholarship was the problem, or he'd be unable to play with U21s? He was sick as a pig is, I think you'll find, the reason he wasn't playing... that's just a turn of phrase now, I'm not saying he had swine flu......................
