Times and Venues to be confirmed next Monday.

Dont know much about Westmeath but not a bad draw for our lads.

Not bad at all.

I see our junior's play meath on may 18th in Newbridge in the leinster championship.. does anyone know who's over them or what sort of a team we're likely to have ?.

A chara,

The Kildare U23 Football Development Team will play Meath U23s in the first round of the Leinster Junior championship on Wed 18th May in St Conleth’s Park

The team will be managed by Brian Flanagan and the selectors are Tadhg Fennin and Johnny Doyle.

The management team will be contacting players over the next few days and they will be attending the upcoming Tom Cross Junior Football championship as they formalise a panel.

If it's a choice between Newbridge or an empty Croke Park on a Saturday evening then I'll be watching the minors.

Our fixtures this year have been disgracefully handled and here we have more if it. I don't think Croke Park even try and hide it now.

Does anyone in their wildest dreams think Dublin would have their minors play in Parnell Park on the day their seniors play in Kilkenny. Nope I don't think so either.

The Christy Ring Semi final has been confirmed for the sunday at half 3 in St Conleths, At a guess I'd say there is a high likelihood that the minors will play before it.

It's a shame common sense didn't prevail and this wasn't put back to the Sunday. It would guarantee a bigger crowd for the hurlers too.

Could have been on in croker either before the senior's.

Heard last night that our minors were willing give up home advantage to play in croke park before the senior game but the opposition when asked and didn't agree with playing minor game in croke park. Dont know how true that is but it would have been nice to have our minors and seniors playing at the same venue. Hear offaly minor footballers game is moved to the sunday and the play before their senior team in Tullamore.

If I remember correctly the Cavan minors did the same thing last year.

I'm hearing that this will be basically made up from the u21 panel.
