Anyone who got a tip from me knows that on the percentages, it's no pity at all.

| Kildare ccc are requesting entries for the Minor Football Summer League. Kildare GAA Minor Football Summer League: 13 aside competition - 8 subs 3 rounds of matches Semi-finals Final and final. Semi Finals Group A v B and Group C V D Home venues for A and C Games will take place following dates: Round 1 - 3rd July Round 2 - 10th July Round 3 - 17th July Semi Finals - 24th July Finals - 31st July Please submit your entries for this competition to ccccilldara@hotmail.com no later than Friday 3rd June 2016. The above just on the Kildare GAA website and while I understand the importance of players getting game time I feel that playing 13 a side at this age group is a major backward step. | |

| Speaking from experience most teams may struggle to get 13 in July.

| Kerry gave out lads a bit of a trimming yesterday so either they are exceptional or we're in trouble v meath | |

| Giving the Leaving cert is still ongoing, I wouldn't read too much into that result as I would imagine both teams were short quite a few players. | |

| Talking to a lad who'd know in Meath at HQ on Sunday, he wasn't being overly bullish. Said it was hard to judge their lads because Dublin weren't good. But they felt they might be decent enough. | |

| Yeah, it'll be tough alright but sure that's what you'd expect. Would be a nice boost for the county to get through it. | |

| A badly needed one.. we certainly have the full forward line to score enough if they get the supply. | |

| Jaysus in a win this would be a great boost. A fourth consecutive final and a great chance of winning. There is real quality in this team with Masterson, Jack Robinson, Hyland a few others.
However Meath will be on a high after taking the Dubs and have a home advantage. Really, really hope I'm wrong but fancy them to edge it. So another pessimistic forecast - for a change!

| Looking forward to this one. Meath will be tough but lots of talented players on the Kildare team, the full forward line in particular. Pity it's in Navan as it hasn't been a happy place for Kildare teams over the last few years.
Best of luck to all involved.

A lot of these lads have experience of Navan from the All Ireland quarter final win over Cavan last year.

| A couple of them were also part of the Clane C.S. team that beat St. Pats Navan in Pairc Tailteann back in January. Its just a field to them.
If we play the same way we did against Westmeath I'd be worried about the damage Daragh Campion could do at centre-forward. If our centre-back drops back to play sweeper and its left to the midfielders to pick him up it could be trouble. Campion was involved in the majority of Meath's scores v Dublin. Hopefully the challenge match with Kerry worked as a shock to the system ahead of this.
Best of luck to both players and management. Hopefully a good crowd travels because after the Dublin result I'd say the natives will turn out in big numbers.

| Great stuff tonight. Couldn't make it but was listening in on Kfm and earlier keeping track on Twitter. A Kildare team with cojones, fought till the end and got their rewards. Four Leinster finals in a row at minor is no small achievement.
Well done to everyone involved. Go on and win it now.

| Well done to all involved tonight. That win gives the county a big lift after the disappointments of the last few weeks. Couldn't make it either but it sounded like we had to overcome a lot of obstacles (refereeing decisions, trailing with a couple of mins left, cramp etc) to grind out the win.
4 Leinster finals in a row is a great achievement and a testament to the great work being done in the developments squads. It's not so long ago that we couldn't win a match at all in Leinster. Let's finish the job now...

| Super result and great resolve and no little skill shown to get the result. Big test again v lapis as they only lost to Meath by 1pt and best is in the league. Still games like tonight makes teams. | |

| Sticking it to Meath in their own back yard - glorious. Heroes to a man.
Four consecutive Leinster finals is phenomenal when you consider that in Dublin, we are competing with the most lavishly funded and resourced underage setup in history.
Brian Murphy and now Brendan Hackett have done an incredible job.
Overjoyed really. Colm O'Rourke has consistently written in his columns over the years how Kildare team's lack bottle and Meath are vastly superior in that department. Look forward to his column on Sunday when he will no doubt decline to write about a Meath team choking in their own back yard after extra time.
Brilliant as well cos Meath were seriously hyping this team - which is something they consistently accuse us of.
Massive boost following senior result and amazingly I am now really looking forward to Leinster final day after all!
Let's keep the focus and application and win the final now.
