Will croker be ready and the pitch Ok ,remember the last time it was done , it was a disaster ,and dangerous to all who played on it

GAA president Christy Cooney yesterday promised that the Croke Park pitch will be in "pristine" condition for Sunday's Leinster senior football championship semi-finals after a €200,000 overhaul.

that picture was taken tuesday,by wednesday they had it down,id say it will be inch perfect come sunday

I don't think that's true there vodafone. Kildare played Tyrone on the newly-laid pitch in 2009. It looked terrible but it played fine. I remember asking someone who played that day.

Think Kildare lost to Tyrone on the Sunday after the relaying of the pitch in 2009. Kerry beat us out the gate the following day (bank holiday Monday) - certainly wasn't the pitch that beat us.

Pitch will be fine on Sunday.

yea right there rgb every player that played on it said the surface was grand but to look at it looked terrible

Lots of rain this evening followed by a nice bright sunny week end. The pitch will be fine. Theyve done this before and its never been a massive issue. Agree it may not look 100%.

Have to say the grounds men had the pitch in fine condition , it held up well Bravo
