| well lads what ye think of the world cup so far. hasn`t been too many exciting matches so far the portugal spain game prob the biggest let down of them all. I`m looking forward to the brazil holland game should be good both teams well able to pass the ball, Poor auld England were brutal even with all the top class players available to them they couldn`t gel together doesn`t say much for capello the F.A have no choice in my view but to sack him what kind of manager goes to the biggest competition in the world and doesn`t know his best team. Surely Roy keane will be targeted to take over her e With that said take nothing away from Germany they are an excellent team (wonder what price they were at start of the tournament ) they are like the opposite to England and to the normal tough germam sides we are used to grinding out results, i think they could go all the way and because they play such attractive football il be hoping they do go all the way. | |

| Poor world cup, Too many ordinary teams and the group stages apart form the odd game were boring.
Argentina and Germany will be good, I'm hoping the Argies win as Maradonna is a nutter.
Spain are starting to go up the gears and will be hard stopped.
Still on for a Brazil v Spain final which could be good.

| Brazil self combusted when the pressure came on.
What about poor old Ghana, missed a pen with the last kick of extra time then lost the penalty shoot out.
Get your money on Uruguay, it's fate that they got through.

| Pretty poor fair except for Germany who have single handidly saved the World cup from being renamed the bore cup. Brazil were the biggest dissapointment for me. A pale shadow of whats gone by in previous years but worse still they've lost all their Brazilian magic and style. They actually reminded me a of England or any other of the dull Eurooean nations. I was glad Holland dumped them out in the end. Other negatives Lot of poor matches vuvuzelas Fact that we weren't there. We'd have done really well. Positives England for all the wrong reasons. Germany Frances early and undignified exit Ghana to an extent RTE's coverage | |

| Germany to beat Spain up a stick on Wednesday.
The Spanish although a fabulous team have been lucky enough in their last couple of games. The Germans won't be so kind plus Xavi may have met his match in Scwinesteiger.
3-1 to ze Germans

| I have actually gotten used to the vuvuzelas. Will be strange watching a premiership match next year with relative quiet in the background.
I dont know about Germany whipping spain on Wed JME, Spain havent performed to their best, torres has been so bad that they effectively have been playing with 10 men. Fabregas made a huge difference when he came on in the last game...he will start the next match...
In saying that....I will hop off the fence and say Spain 2-1.

| High points :
Germany
New Zealand being unbeaten France imploding Dunphy and Souness going at it Brady losing it Apres Match George Hook Some of the female fans
Low points : Too many mediocre games Vuvuzuelas Seeing overpaid overhyped footballers playing shite (England team, Ronaldo, Kaka, Torres) Crap refs (they have these too) Sepp Blatters apologies (where's ours?) Some of the female fans
Also I heard on the news that the Nigerian goalkeeper has offered to refund all Nigerian fans who travelled to South Africa in light of thier country's dreadful perfomances. All he needs is their bank account details and mothers maiden names.

| If a horrible snidey diving little fairy like Arjen Robben lifts the world cup I think I will cry. This dutch team are peeing all over the memory of the great dutch teams of the past although I do think Wesley Sneijder is an excellent footballer but Van Bommels thuggery and Robbens diving tarnishes it for me.
Germany probably deserve to win as they have played the best football. Spain have an awesome attack and midfield (apart from Biscuits, he's as bad as a packet of Lemon puffs) so tonights game should be a cracker.
I'm going Germany/Holland final with the dutch doing their usual surrendering to their tutonic neighbours in the final.

| Lucky I'm not a betting man, because I've got everything wrong so far.
Sunday should be a good final.
Nice to see a new name on the trophy.
