I was one of the lucky people at the game today in Ashbourne

Half time Meath 2 - 6 Kildare 2 - 6
Full Time Meath 2 - 12 Kildare 3 - 9
HT E T Meath 2 - 13 Kildare 3 - 11
The End: Meath 3 - 15 Kildare 4 12

On 60 minutes a Kildare free 35 yards out, into the wind & Ellen drove it over to take it to ET.

On 80 mins, Meath got a 20m Fr to level it just a minute after a Kildare goal.

Both teams outstanding. The replay is fixed for Hawkfield Sunday 21 April.

Well , they have qualified for a final.

If they win its the A Final

if not its the B Final

& they go on th All Ireland series id they were to win either Final.

Catherine Conaty has written a great report on it, on Kildare Ladies FB where the Meath angle is also posted. 5 or 6 of the Meath team played with their Seniors last yeat so I suspect they have very high hopes for this group. Now this Kildare group has shown its worth !!!!!!!

Sorry, I should have known better to clarify - I meant the 'A' final. Either way, having players coming through to senior level with an understanding of what is required for inter-county standard is vital over the coming years. Best of luck to them.
