I think people could do a lot of these lads a favour by not building them up to be the next 'superstars' of Kildare football. Not to take away from their magnificent achievements (and hopefully one more step) junior football is a long way off intercounty U21 or senior standard. I'm sure that players will be given an opportunity once the campaign has finished. The best thing for these lads after the final is to have a break from football for a couple of months - particularly the younger lads like Healy and Sherry. There is plenty of time over the next couple of years for them. Player burnout - does anyone care??

@ pin high i don't think people do care about player burn out unfortunately. I'd imagine those two lads will be back at it with the 21's in a couple if weeks and if they were to be a little below par there would be plenty willing to abuse them from the stands. Best of luck to the house

Agreed that every club needs the structures and hard work and you'd have to hand it to TMH for their effort but I think it can be overplayed somewhat. No amount of structures and hard work will create players like Healy and Sherry but the structures and mentors have to be in place to take advantage of prodigious talent coming through.
