| Feels dirty doing this as no Kildare men on it (although could have made a case for Dermot, Johnny and even Rainbow perhaps):
S Cluxton (Dublin) M O'Se (Kerry) S Moynihan (Kerry) K Higgins (Mayo) T O'Se (Kerry) K. McGeeney (Armagh) L. Keegan (Mayo)
D.O'Se (Kerry) S. Cavanagh (Tyrone)
B. Dooher (Tyrone) D.O'Sullivan (Kerry) D. Connolly (Dublin)
C.Cooper (Kerry) S. O'Neill (Tyrone) P.Canavan (Tyrone)
Much as I hate Tyrone seems I love them too !

| Not a bad team at all Crofter. Granted, would have Jordan over Keegan (hasn't done anywhere near enough yet versus key part of three All Irelands). Tough one though, like John Galvin an absolute hero in midfield but wasn't there for enough big days. I know it's an individual thing but teams get players to the biggest stages where they perform and it's that we remember them for. For me:
S Cluxton (Dublin)
M Ó Sé (Kerry) S Moynihan (Kerry) G Canty (Cork)
T Ó Sé (Kerry) K McGeeney (Armagh) P Jordan (Tyrone)
D Ó Sé (Kerry) S Cavanagh (Tyrone)
P Flynn (Dublin) D O'Sullivan (Kerry) B Dooher (Tyrone)
C Cooper (Kerry) P Canavan (Tyrone) C McDonald (Mayo)

| I would feel the same. You would have to have a lot of Kerry lads and Tyrone lads on it. As for Kildare. Well lets be honest lads. WE have had some very good players and maybe some great players (early and Doyle) But you could not put them on it imo | |

| Here's my team. I think you should have won an All-Ireland to get on but that's not stated in the rules.
S.Cluxton (Dublin)
M.O'Se (Kerry) S.Moynihan (Kerry) K.Lacey (Donegal)
T.O'Se (Kerry) K.McGeeney (Armagh) P.Jordan (Tyrone)
D.O'Se (Kerry) S.Cavanagh (Tyrone)
B.Dooher (Tyrone) C.Cooper (Kerry) P.Flynn (Dublin)
P.Canavan (Tyrone) P.Joyce (Galway) B.Brogan (Dublin)

| S.Cluxton (Dublin)
M.O'Se (Kerry) S.Moynihan (Kerry) K.Higgins (Mayo)
T.O'Se (Kerry) K.McGeeney (Armagh) P.Jordan (Tyrone)
D.O'Se (Kerry) S.Cavanagh (Tyrone)
P. Galvin (Kerry) M.Murphy (Donegal) D.Connolly (Dublin)
C.Cooper (Kerry) P.Canavan (Tyrone) B.Brogan (Dublin)
I Think you have to play players where they play for there teams, the likes of G Canty corner back i Dont think he would be as affective in there as center back but he is not as good as McGeeney there and also full back Moynihan was better. Its not the allstars players should be picked in positions where they played the most.

| I think most positions pick themselves, except for one maybe, left wing-forward...I've gone for Diarmuid Connolly because he just gets better and better and on his day he is virtually unplayable. There are also a number of players that I have not included, like Ciaran 'Outside Of The Left' McDonald, Maurice Fitz (best player I have ever seen), Padraig Joyce who was unreal for Galway for best part of 10 years, Michael Donnellan who was the best in the businness between 1998-2001 and then the like of Michael Murphy who is an all-rounder baller...anyhow, I've gone with the below...
1. S. Cluxton (Dublin)
2. M. O'Se (Kerry) 3. S. Moynihan (Kerry) 4. R. McMenamin (Tyrone)
5. T. O'Se (Kerry) 6. K. McGeeney (Armagh) 7. P. Jordan (Tyrone)
8. D. O'Se (Kerry) 9. S. Cavanagh (Tyrone)
10. B. Dooher (Tyrone) 11. D. Sullivan (Kerry) 12. D. Connolly (Dublin)
13. C. Cooper (Kerry) 14. S. O'Neill (Tyrone) 15. P. Canavan (Tyrone).

| Also, I never mentioned some guy called Paul Galvin who wasn't half bad to be fair to him, as well as the Brogan brothers and Keith Higgins, who is as sticky as glue. Karl Lacey too could make it at left-wing back. | |

| How about a Kildare 15 for 15. Think it's actually harder than the national one.
1. Christy Byrne 2. Peter Kelly 3. Mick Foley 4. Anthony Rainbow 5. Paul Cribbin 6. Glen Ryan 7. Emmet Bolton 8. Dermot Earley 9. Daryl Flynn 10. Eamon Callaghan 11. John Doyle 12. James Kavanagh 13. Martin Lynch 14. Alan Smith 15. Tadhg Fennin

| That's a tough one alright Crofter. There were some very lean years during the period since 2000.
1 Enda Murphy 2 Peter Kelly 3 Mick Foley 4 Andrew McLoughlin 5 Anthony Rainbow 6 Glenn Ryan 7 Emmet Bolton 8 Dermot Earley 9 Daryl Flynn 10 Padraig O'Neill 11 Eoghan O'Flaherty 12 Ronan Sweeney 13 Johnny Doyle 14 Eamonn Callaghan 15 Tadhg Fennin
I'd have Enda insead of Christy. Enda replaced him in 02 and was always fairly reliable.
Tight call picking three from Kelly, Foley, McLoughlin, Lyons and McGrillen. I've left out the two Celbridge lads because Kelly and Foley won All Stars and McLoughlin was there for the guts of ten years and with the benefit of hindsight was probably under appreciated. The half back line picks itself.
Flynn or Killian Brennan is another tight call. There were a few years when Killian was a real team leader but Daryl was a more complete footballer.
We had some forwards who shone brightly for a few years before falling away for different reasons. Paddy Murray could have been a great player for Kildare with better luck. Similar comments would apply to Karl Ennis and Padraig Brennan. Paudie and Roli are there for their consistency over a long period. I'll go with O'Flaherty ahead of Kavanagh although it is a marginal call. I think Lynch was gone by 03 so I'll put Leper in the full forward line. Fennin's goals in the early 2000s just edge out Smith.
Hopefully in a few years players like Eoin Doyle, Paul Cribbin and Niall Kelly will be automatic choices in a team like this.

| Leper in at Full forward. I have been at all of Kildare games and imo leper would NOT GET NEAR this team. NOT NEAR.

| I think you are being incredibly harsh there botch. While understandably Leper has not been at the level we expect the last year or two, there can be no denying that he was an incredibly influential player during the Geezer era. | |

Maybe a little harsh but I just cannot see how you could put him ahead of others. He may of been influential but even under geezer he only played well for one year as far as I saw. Most of the other time he was either poor or injured.
