I see an Athy v Naas final with Athy winning out in the end.
I hope you are right as I backed them at 12/1 during the league.
In fairness most of the senior games I have seen have been played in terrible conditions so it’s unfair to say quality has been poor. Let’s hope the next few weeks is dry and we can watch some good football. I think Athy be hard beat, good strong team with a good defence, midfield and forwards

Just went to buy 2 tickets for Manguard Park for today, €32 - good luck to that.

Sweet Jesus. I know different economies and all that but you could get into a Copa Libertadores semi-final in a world class stadium for that.

Riveting stuff, no doubts... Ticket prices are a joke. What's your opinion on the Junior Final and Intermediate Semi Finals ?

Interesting scenario where Naas are now in the Senior, Senior B (really intermediate) and Intermediate (really Junior) finals in hurling.
Has a club ever won all 3 club competitions in the past in any county?

Naas won the Senior, Intermediate, Junior, U21 and Minor hurling championships in 2019.

Agree. But all tight games bar the junior final imo.

Good game between Athy V Celbridge in Hawkfield. To their credit, Celbridge really stood up in last 5 minutes when Athy asked questions of them. Conway, O’Callaghan & Archbold had big games, the 2 Kelly’s and Feely were very good for Athy. Celbridge into their first final since 2017, they look a well balanced side.

Why, oh why, aren’t they steaming the semi finals? Today’s game appears to have been of very high quality. Compared to most of the dross so far in the championship. A great opportunity to showcase the counties best teams, to those not in a position to attend.
Kildare county board, they never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity.

I thought the ref decisions on the two black card decisions today ( one on Alex Beirne which was given, and the one on the Clane keeper which wasn’t given)were perplexing to say the least in the Naas vClane semifinal. Please can anyone explain

Naas and celbridge final. Fair to say after all the giving out about the structure of the championship, the best 2 teams have made it through.
