Any good performances over the weekend?

Ballymore looked very good in beating suncroft, tommy archibald in particular played well as did James kavanagh.

Anybody else?

I must say Sean Hurley was very impressive for JTB at midfield, in an area where Kildare seniors are struggling surely he is worth a place on the panel?

Yeah Hurley is flying at the moment... He was was excellent at mid field for the juniors against Carlow seniors last week too. Think they were winning by a few points til Hurley went off injured. Ended up a draw

For me .. it was Clane running Moorefield so close with their extremely young team.Definitely a team for the future.

Stretch has the Town flying. I hope they do win the Junior A this year as they've been there or there abouts the last few years.

Was at the Robertstown game, they were very good, but Rheban were equaly as bad. One thing I found amusing was the towns supporters heckling the ref while winning by 13 points, that kind of thing does not help the lads on the field it only distracts them. If they continue to play at that intensity they will be hard to stop.

i think the ref deserved the heckling he was terrible another ref who likes to shout off and make it about himself his dealing of joe kavanagh was laughable and i`d say joe was thinking to himself this clown wouldn`t lace my boots and that is true.

i think roberstown look very good for the junior right now esp with the disappointments of tmh grange and the cloghs over the weekend but alot of football to be played yet, also ballymore had a great start to senior

Wasn't at the game but looks like a good win for Towers against Allenwood. Dave Murphy doing a good job there?

Think it might say more about Allenwood than Towers!

There was nothing special about that, a good few teams have done that to rheban the last few years.
The real test for robertstown as usual will come later in the year.
Nothing won in May.

Centreback, the only people who were heckling him were the town supporters, I didn't hear anything much coming from the Rheban crowd who were on the wrong end of the scoreline. The point I was making is you cannot be forever the victim, the vibe coming from the line was that refs were always riding Robertstown.

PS
My own club had this problem for years and got now where, we worked hard to try and stamp it out and it paid off. While you will never stop it completely you can minimize it, if you don't it just gives some players somewhere else to point the finger instead of looking at their own performance

Robertstown seem to have this 'everyone is out to do us, or every one is out to get us' mentallity and have had for a good few years now. Refs, opponents, gods, anyone but themselves is to blame for when things go against them. As a result, the everyone is against us has become somewhat of a self fulfilling prophecy.
