| With club U21 Championship @ semi final stages / what are peoples views on possible starting team for next February?
I'd imagine the following are certs (barring injury / commitment issues) to start:
Hurley / Feeley / Moolick / Fogarty / Dowling
Are the majority of the minor team from 2/3 years ago still available?
Who else has impressed during club games?
What would be a likely starting 15 based on this year's club championship?

| I would reckon depending on Athy's involvement in Leinster club both Mullhall and Reynolds would be certs, I think Hyland from Athy is also a fantastic prospect but is still a minor again in 2012 so doubt he will be on it. | |

| Fairly lethal full forward line there (potentially) | |

| I agree with some of that Team.
Donellan in goals. Only agree with Doyle in the backs. This is an area of concern, and has been the last few year at minor & u21. Midfield will surely be Feeley and Moolick. Half forwards, Mc Andrew, Reynolds, Hurley. ( Reynolds will be captain) Full Forwards, Mulhall, Fogarty, Dowling.

| the centre back from the 21's last year is underage again, Alan Keary from Leixlip. id imagine the back line will be quite strong with Konstantin, Comerford and Egan all regular senior players with their clubs for the past year or 2.
that midfield/forward line is scary good.....on paper

| Surely Joe Kinehan and Des Holton would be in contention for starts there in the backs. Not sure about comerford at centre back either. Saw David Hyland against edenderry on sunday and he was very impressive. Won great ball and a good man to get forward when he can, almost mcgrillenesque! Still minor though so doubt he'll be involved. Cant argue with midfield on though looks a serious team on paper.

| From the u21 games I seen this year obviously Athy will have 5/6 ( Hyland Mcgovern Reynolds Mulhall Feely Kelly Gibbons) on the panel, McInerney from Sarafields looked decent, Mullaly and Lonergan from Moorefield are very tidy players, O'Shea from Miltown is progressing nicely, Comerford from Maynooth was on the Kildare junior panel for the All-Ireland,
Some decent backs there that with a bit of work could be a tough outfit to break down IMO.

Younger brother Cian. Came on in the All-Ireland junior final. Lines out in the forwards mainly.

Tommy Archibald played u21 for Kildare in 2004 when still a minor. Things might have changed since then though.

| Daryl Coogan played u 21 as a minor ( even thogh he failed to make the minor panel the same year). did'nt Plunkett of Celbridge play u 21 last year as a minor? I think if their good enough, theres no problem. | |

| Hanley of clogherinkoe maybe a bit inconsistent for county level but on his day is very good conor grehan probably the best prospect from them for u21's though- very sticky corner back.
Yeah well if hyland was able to play both minor and 21's he would definitely be worth his spot.

| Lads can we stall the digger for a second. Theres no doubt that there is potential in this team but talk of leinsters and all irelands before trials have even started. In my view u21 is the toughest grade to call cause ya get lads going through different stages in there life whether that be trying to hold down a job or get one n the first place or being half way down the country in college. So if the best 15 isnt starting against Meath or Offaly it wont be soley the managers fault. Some lads just cant commit. Christ i struggled to make club sessions when i was that age for the same reasons. I remember following this group as minors and the amount of names that i havent heard of since then or havent played as much ball is mad. Thst year they beat two very poor wexford and wicklow sides and bet meath by the minimum up in Navan. A poor referees call and one of the softest frees i've seen giving in croke park ( i include brogans against us this year in that) robbed those lads of a Leinster. In truth in the replay they never looked like winning as Dublin were always able to raise there game. They have a uphill task straight away because there is so much expectation on there shoulders. Hurley Fogarty Dowling Moolick have all sampled the senior set up with a half dozen others involved with the juniors but there are still young men. All that expectation can't reat easy on there shoulders. I remember talking to our own clubman who was on that first minor side with Murphy and Co and he said Murphy just told them to go out and play with a smile on there face and express themselves. I laughed at the time thinking it was a bit much but that team got knocked out in the end by Armagh who won the thing out. My rant is just to say its tough to say who will be involved come the weds night under lights because some lads just cant commit. Lads on the trend talking about how it'll be a disgrace if they dont win leinster. For flip sake let the ones that do put on the jersey and throw off the shackles and give it socks free from the pressure and fear of failure. Lets talk ourselves down and everyone else up. RANT OVER | |

| Very good Muller. There has been some serious talent the last few year at minor, and on paper, yes we have serious talent and should have a serious u21 team capable of winning Leinster. Only problem is these guys have won nothing yet. The Murphy Minor team of 2009 was the stepping stone for the wonder team of 2010. Didnt work out ! As for the Hanley, its Michael Hanley from Ballyteague. Some serious suggestions there Browser for patching up the defence. I hope your not a selector.

He's overage. I don't think he's starting for UCC either and that's without their Dr Crokes contingent.

| Pretty sure he's overage. Hampered by injuries during the 21 set up last year if memory serves me right. Serious talent all the same | |
