Match was due to be on in Clane but pitch was waterlogged and the 2 teams tossed for homw advantage.
Celbridge won but their main pitch was unplayable and match was played on back pitch.
Naas not very impressed.
Celbridge had all the play for last 15 mins but couldn't score

From what I heard Celbridge had 9 lads playing in this match who played the u21 football 23 hrs beforehand, bit of a joke and they talk about player welfare!!! Co. Board don't care really, they know they'll get a bit of stick at the time from the club involved, but they will also hide behind their phones, not return calls etc, hurling board have no power, they have to revert to fixtures guy, who is from Round Towers (real hurling stronghold!), this lad couldn't care less about hurling or player welfare, be interesting to see if Round Towers were involved would he have changed fixture.

Ye it is an joke and the board hold no regard for hurling. It was in the paper that the lad who makes the fixtures said if the football was on the Sunday the Celbridge lads wouldn't of Been able to field a team for hurling because the lads would if wanted to be fresh for football. Same story for some Leixlip players all be it probably not as many they had a shield semi final and then the next day st Columba played kilcock
