They did and I think they were promoted from Division 3 too, but I'm open to correction on that.

The fact that they won Junior Championship and were promoted from Division 3 might mean that a new manager might be hard come by.

Just something I'm curious about - how did Eamonn Fitzpatrick come to be involved with Robertstown?...........my own playing memories of him are from his Rathangan days!

Does he not live down there now.
I know he was playing soccer for them for a few year before he was on their gaa team.
He was some addition to them this year.
Maybe he should manage them himself.

He's with them a good while now, he has lost his pace but makes up for it with his experience.

Didn't he win an Leinster U21 in 1990 with Kildare?

It was 1992 and Fitzy did indeed Smile

A lad might lose a yard of pace but he never loses it in the head...

Don't know why Robertstown are looking for a new manager outside the club they should look closer to home.....Fitzy would do a great job & already has the respect of the players

Maybe he wants to concentrate on playing for another year or two, plenty of time to go into management when he finally calls it a day.

Think this year was his 2nd year. He prob wants another year to paly intermediate, but id say hes an obvious choice there sooner than later.

Unfortunately, Dave Matthews, who would have been a great option, is training Cork hurlers so he'll hardly have time.

Was talking to a fella closely associated with the Cork hurlers last week and he reckons Matthews will be on the road an awful lot with his current role in Cork. Reckons he's good at what he does too.

Dave was always a hurling man, never remember him playing football but he was a hell of a goalkeeper for the hurlers until the running took over at 17/18
