Reserve Championship Draw

The draw for the 2nd Team Football Championships will take place on Tuesday evening at the County Board Meeting.
 
The full draw will be on the website on Wednesday.

The grading for the draw is as follows

Why is it that when a team wins a reserve championship they dont move up a grade its a load of balls

usually a team wins a reserve champ their best players will move onto their first team or second team, ie the next team up. so they'd have to play up a level minus many of their best players.

Under rule all players have too, clubs can request they be regraded

Would love know how the do the grading for reserve team championships, see sallins are still in reserve C championship after winning it last year........dont care what numbers a team loses to there first team, if your lucky enough to win a championship at what ever level, that team should move up to the next available championship grade once there's one available and there club has not got another team in that higher championship.......

Naas won the D last year and are still in it....same story with Castledermot.

There was a number of delegates who raised these issues at the meeting last week, there was some discussion but it was passed without much difficulty....

moorefield3 won the c 3 years in a row and were only moved up after kildangan bjected you'd feel you'd feel bad for them an athgarvan tryin to keep there 1 team goin

Maybe a stupid question but if Kildangan or Athgarvan win their championship will they be
in the Junior Championship next year?

They should be. To be fair to ardlough cappagh and other junior clubs they have kept there teams in junior A when they are struggling. I have seen both these clubs play in d last number of years and with a little more effort would compete in junior A.

To be fair Kildangan and Athgarvan would compete with the likes of Cappagh, Ardclough and Rathcoffey but thats it.

There's great work been done on the underage side of things in Kildangan so I expect they will be a Junior team in the not too distant future.

Yeah im pretty sure they would be junior as senior reserve c is the old junior b think they lost the 05 final by a couple of points

so how many clubs are missing players for championship because of builders holidays.?

Speaking to a few lads from different clubs, some are going to struggle with players being away. Last week July/first week August is prime holiday time, not just for builders.
Then again, it's only the reserve championship, does anyone in the Co Board really care. They have far bigger fish to fry on the inter-county scene.

Carbury beat Confey by 12 points last night. The game was in Clane and was only changed yesterday morning from Johnstownbridge even the Clane officials didnt know about the change. Anyway great result for Carbury as Confey won the league easy this year.

I was very surprised to see that result too Carbury must have been flying.

Leixlip beat Clane in Celbridge 0-9 to 0-7. Clane had a few goal chances but the Leixlip keeper made some great saves.

Sure the builders have been on holidays for the past 4 years now

Load of cock we have half a team why can't the fixtures come out a lot earlier its not like the reserve champ is determined by county success

Confey only had 10 players available to play against Leixlip in reserve championship match last night apparently. Thats a disgrace if true. Doubt Moorefield would ever turn up to play Sarsfields at any grade with 10 players, or vice versa.
