Reserve Championship Draws 2013

Can someone tell me what the format of this championship is as I see they have made a draw for Round 1 and 2?

Its similar to the format used for the senior a couple of years ago with only 2 games instead of 3 or 4. Top eight through to the quarters and I think its an open draw from there.

Top 8 go into quarter finals in Reserve A, Reserve C and Reserve D. It's not an open draw. 1 v 8, 2 v 7, 3 v 6 and 4 v 5.

Top 2 go into semi finals in Reserve B and Reserve E. Next 4 go into quarter finals. I think its 3 v 6 and 4 v 5.

Any date for these fixtures?

Fixed for next Monday evening. Will know more later when the weekly fixtures are out.

The league stages appear to be complete now for each reserve championship. Are the dates for the quarter finals agreed on yet? Will it be played off now over the next 3 weeks?

I heard that the reserve A championship is on next Tuesday evening don't know about the rest

Monasterevan & Raheens already in Reserve B semi finals

I was looking at the table and it finished like this :
1. Monasterevan
2. Raheens
3. JTB
4. Rathangan
5. St. Kevins
6. St. Laurences
7. Round Towers

I know it got a bit messed up by Towers getting a walkover, but
1 & 2 are in the semis
3 plays the winnder of 4v5 in a quarter final
6 v 7 in the other quarter final.

from that it looks like you would be better finishing 7th than 4th?
is there some mistake?

No. Five teams finished level on 2 points. The rules stipulate that score difference is used to separate the 5 teams unless, as occured in this instance, it involves a team that was involved in a walkover (i.e. Towers). Where this occurs playoffs are required to determine who advances. I believe JTB, Larries & Towers came out of the hat for quarter final spots while Kevins & Rathangan have to playoff for the last place.
