| Just read there that both Jack O Connor's sons Eanna and Cian have transferred to Leixlip apparently. Both appear very good players, Eanna in particular had an excellent scoring record for the Kerry minors. 2-35 in 9 games is no mean feat. He won a couple of Munster titles and scored 6 points in the 2009 All Ireland final from full forward. I should add that they are both teaching up here from what I read. No shenanigans to report.

| Wasn't Eanna the star of the Colaiste Na Sceilge team that beat Mary's to win the 09 Hogan Cup. Good minor but didn't make the level at senior grade (open to correction) if memory serves me correctly. Where are they teaching and living does anyone know, because not suggesting shenanigans but that should be key to their choice of club. | |

| I think suggestion that they are transferring to Leixlip may be wide of the mark. Any source for this? | |

| If it's Moorefield that's grand I'll edit the title. Just that I read that it was Leixlip.
I know nothing of it just thought it was worth mentioning.
Tk to be fair you'd want to be a extraordinary minor to get in that Kerry team when he was underage. He may have got a chance now since they are rebuilding.

| Éanna scored the winning goal in the Hogan Cup Final for Coláiste na Sceilge with practically the last kick of the game against an Edenderry team that featured Paul Cribbin and Seán Hurley. He's a very good free taker and would be a serious addition to any club team in the county. | |

| This would be a legitimate case of being able to play for Kildare, but personally don't think they'd be of the standard required and not sure they'd be willing to give the commitment either (that's my own thoughts, as they weren't good enough for Kerry and are here for genuine work). Granted I'm sure they'll be a big, big edition to Moorefield if that is who they join. As for Leixlip, wonder why that's the first place them Kerry boyos thought of? | |

| You see that's the only problem I have with lads coming from other counties - picking a club like that. If they are living and teaching in Naas, then why not add to the local community and the local club, rather than thinking medals? | |

| My sister and brother-in-law are both teachers and it was difficult to socialise in the locality because of the abuse they got from some students. My brother in law is involved with a rural club in the area. | |

| Are things that bad? Con Ronan was our teacher for many years and also quite the man around the club in Athy and the two mixing were never ever a problem or an excuse for disrespect. Indeed one day at a Scoil Eoin game, I remember he sent two lads back to the school from the crowd for cheering on a row and substituted our player who had started it. Afterwards he lost it with him for moral reasons rather than team-could-be-a-man-down stuff. Granted, that's 15 years ago now, maybe this generation ain't quite as polite as our great selves. | |

What colour card does biting incur? Or breaking a players nose? Assaulting match officials or causing rows with umpires? All carry hefty suspensions and not something I can remember Moorefield players doing. Disgusting thuggish behaviour from a bunch of spoilt brats who haven't delivers on their underage success. | |
